What season was it this time ?

Summer he supposed, the beginning of youth, his life's revolution he saw. A bright sunny day, a fresh start, a new beginning, that was what summer felt.

Jake and Sunghoon had grown to be fine teenagers now. Along with all the other boys they grew up with in their small town far away from the eye of people. Still very good friends they were.

If it's about his unrequited love, things were fine, just fine. Because he wouldn't want to lose it all yet, he'd slowly make the best of it and slowly try to get the best of it. That was his theory.

It was funny how they'd still do things they did as kids but as they grew they developed personalities which contradicted the image they had since childhood.

Like how when they were kids, Jake would read Sunghoon bed time stories during their sleepovers but now Jake would sleep on Sunghoon's shoulders while they lay flat on the floor covered with bedsheets and mattresses. As Sunghoon would be left, flipping pages of the books silently smiling and trying to stay as still as possible for the boy who'd rampantly flung upon him.

Just yesterday they were racing to climb trees, now it was Sunghoon carrying Jake up to sit along on the tambourine tree they stole from in winter fighting all sorts of birds to get them.

Just yesterday Jake was carrying Sunghoon on his back but now Sunghoon had grown strong enough to give Jake a piggy back ride home.

Something which Jake was currently trying to get done.

Jake hopped on Sunghoon's back and his small group of friends were walking themselves out of school.

"Hey that's not fair. Why does Jake always get the special ride." Geonu pointed.

"That is so unimportant" Jay pushed Geonu's face away.

"Let's talk about main catch. What are you guys gonna do for summer vacations ?"

"Wait you're ignoring me" Geonu stood infront of Jay.

"Probably eat a lot of food and spend my days trying to master GO, my grandfather has been betting while he plays he gets alot of money. Need to surpass the old man." Jungwon said, quite proud of his talent investment.

"I AM HERE" Geonu screamed again.

"Dude that's so basic, why not come to my place we'll check this AV my brother got from his foreign exchange." Jay said smirking at his "very genius" reply.

"WHAT ABOUT ME" Geonu was jumping inrfont of them.

Daniel and Taki were cowering near Geonu's side. "Now I need to play dad." Geonu hugged the two boys while shutting off their ears.Almost like a reflex, Heesung slapped his hand on Jay's mouth.

"What was that ?" Nikki asked, quite startled by the series of actions since he didn't quite get what they said.

"Nothing just Jay telling he'd like to buy his hen a tie." Heesung replied.

"That was rude hyung, it's a normal thing anyway." Jay whined after escaping, which was by licking Heesung's palm. Heesung marched to Jay's side, pulling his ear.

"It's inappropriate you fly wracking goblin freak."

Sunoo and Jungwon laughed at the antics of the older ones.

While Nikki continued to ask Jake what actually happened.

Jake felt like it'd be a sin if he didn't tell anything to the young one. But Jake who still hasn't had a smooth run with hangul was confused on what to say.
