Well now let's try to remember things again. What was that time ? Was it monsoon ?

The time Jake first realized his feelings.

Oh how forgetful he'd become, it was spring, one fine spring day when they were both in their early teens, being  dazzling and charming boys that'd spend hours on baseball. Climbing trees, catching insects, writing letters and cycling on hills. Those were the days they invested all their childish passion and vigor on.

The place they lived in ? still homely and unmordernized was still peaceful, still calm, still warm and cheery. But somethings did change like, how Sunghoon was no longer a shy boy now he was the outgoing neighbourhood prince. Jake ? He grew more cheerful and happy; ever more than before.

If you're thinking what may have happened with his kindergarten playmates, then it so happened that they became friends, very good friends, ones that'd prank the shit out of each other on April fool's day, steal lunch when they sat for eating, scream about in the arcade together and most off all friends that would never leave each other behind, no matter what.

Underneath the peach and cherry blossoms Jake, Sunghoon and they're very huge group of friends played tag. Running on fine dust that caught up to their navy blue shorts and white school shirts.

"Okay Jay, you are now going to be attacked by my astro punch." Sunoo said, giggling loudly at the horribly cringey stuff he spoke of.

"That's for babies how can you still watch astro boy." Heesung questioned, as he looked up from the book he was reading since he hadn't joined their little game.

"Come on hyung, you're the one that comes to my house and cheers along with everyone while watching the show." Sunoo wiggled his eyebrows.

"Thats because I don't have a tv anyways, it'd be awkward."

Jungwon made up a sleazy face before proceeding to pinch his hyung's cheeks.

"Aww hyung is such a baby, he can't even say he's embarrassed."

Heesung was blushing tremendously, holding his book up to hide his face.

The others joined in giggling.

"Now now stop bullying hyung." Jay said while slinging an arm around Heesung's shoulders.

They were just middle school students, trying to live happily in their carefree days but today things seemed to be different for Jake.

Things seemed to be heavier and more complicated for Jake. Life seemed to be more rude with Jake. Or maybe he could blame it on himself, he was born a coward anyways.

Sunghoon on the other hand had been walking beside Jake,  watching him the whole time. Having known him for years, he obviously knew something was up but he decided not to question it since he respected the boy's privacy.

The group of boys had reached their parting point, waving each other goodbye as they went off to their various homes.

But before he could leave, Sunghoon glanced back again to see Jake. Maybe he'd have to take matters in his own hands as much as he'd intended not to invade the other's privacy.

Now, Jake was back home, sitting on his bed having blankets cover him up, aimlessly looking at the window right near his bed.

Why might he be gloomy you'd say ? It was those worries that fourteen year olds have about their future or maybe it was only from his side. He had never dwelt on thoughts but this, he was contemplating his life decisions.
