After our 5 minute hug, we stepped back and stared at each other for what felt like forever. He looked so handsome, standing there. His dark brown, curly hair framing his face, making his bright blue eyes stand out. He'd grown about an inch or two since he left and had a little bit of facial hair which caused his face to look as if he had dirt on it. Jokingly, I walked into the kitchen while dragging him there by his wrist then grabbed a washing cloth, wet it down a bit and started rubbing his face.
"Uhh... Kettle? What are you doing...?" he asked, sounding like he was concerned about my mental health.
"You've got some dirt on your face so I'm trying to wash it off but, it doesn't seem to be working," I paused, "maybe I should scrub harder!" I exclaimed then started scrubbing again at his already red face.
"Kettle, stop it! You're hurting me!" Jayce whined then continued, "and it's not dirt, smart one. It's just a bit of stubble," he mumbled then stuck out his tongue like a Little One.
"Ohhhhhh! Maybe you should shave then," I replied in a sarcastic tone with an equally sarcastic face.
"Well I didn't have time to. I came here straight away after getting off the Air Train. I wanted to see you first thing," he said while staring at me intently.
My eyes got wide and I started crying again then said, "AWWWWWW! BLUE JAY!!!" while hugging him abruptly.
"Would you two stop with the hugging already!" my mother snapped, making me and everyone else jump.
"Lizabeth, would you come with me to the bedroom, please?" my dad said to my mother with such a serious voice that it sent chills down my spine. People here don't usually get angry, so when someone does, it's a big thing that's usually unpleasant...
My mother and my father walked to their bedroom and I assume they turned the noise blocker on because I couldn't hear a word they said to each other.
"That was weird," Said Kyo on his way out the door.
"Where the heck do you think you're going, Kyo?" I said loudly at him just before he shut the door completely.
"I just have to go somewhere. Kay? Tell mum and dad for me though please?"
"Yeah, yeah.." I mumbled as he left out the door into the whiteness of snow. "Well then. Seems like everyone is being strange today but us," I said to Jayce.
"Yeah. But, we're technically all alone. We have the house to ourselves now," he said then chuckled while he reached up and scratched the back of his head nonchalantly.
"OH!!" I said, overly excited then continued, "I wanted to show you the art work I've done since you've left!" I said in an ecstatic whisper.
"Ok-" Jayce started to say before I cut him off by grabbing him by the wrist and dragging him upstairs to my room. Once we got there, he flopped onto my bed, making it think that he gave it the signal to go up. Once the bed moved upwards, Jayce started to freak out and I just stood there and laughed hysterically.
"It's not funny!" He yelled to me as I walked over to my windows to turn the illusion simulator on to make my room look empty and pulled the blackout curtains shut to make sure no one could see into my room at all.
I giggled at him then said, "yes it is!" laughed more then continued, "you're used to the cabin beds, aren't you?" then laughed again whilst walking over to my bed and tugging on my overhanging blanket to bring the bed back down.
"Oh my goodness THANK YOU!!" Jayce exclaimed once the bed was hovering just above the floor.
"Are you afraid of heights or something, Blue Jay?" I said then giggled.
