Bluebeetle X OC

Quick A/N: This was a request from @Lys_25. It is an OC one shot. Not my Oc by the way. I hope you like it! Oh, and don't worry about the ending ;) I will have a part 2. Thank you and as always, love you all.

Bluebeetle's POV

"Quick, clean this place up, Batman's coming!" I yelled into the lounge as I tried to start cleaning the place up.

"I got it." Bart had already cleaned the whole room in under five seconds. "This place is now spic-n-span. Do you people even still say spic-n-span?"

"Not really, Hermano." I said sitting down on the couch trying to be as casual as possible. I had overheard Batman talking to some of the other leaguers the other day saying that he was going to be introducing a new member to the team soon. I had been on edge lately hoping to be able to make a good first impression on the new team member.

"Team, meet me in the mission room in five minutes," came bat's voice over the intercom. Right, no need to worry after all. Probably just a new mission.

"I'm gonna go ahead and head that way." I told Bart.

"Why the rush, Hermano?" He asked.

"I don't know, I just feel like this might be a good time to be a little early."

I agree. Scarab agreeing must have meant I actually was right.

"Okay, well then I'll speed over there in a little while."

I started walking down the corridor that would eventually lead to the mission room. I took the long way so that I wasn't insanely early. I stopped just before walking into the room.

Next to Batman stood someone in black cargo pants, and a black shirt tightly fit to her with a hood. The part that caught my attention the most was the stripes of red and orange on what looked like a kabuki mask. A fox mask. Her hair was tucked into the hood of her shirt. She had a red katana hanging from a belt around her waist. Her black outfit was accented with red and gold from her gear. All of her gear was either red or gold in color.

I had to admit though, even if I couldn't see her face, she was drop dead gorgeous.

I walked into the room. A few of the others were already there. They were either talking amongst themselves or, standing awkwardly to the side.

Bart sped into the room. I waved to him.

"Alright team, I would like to introduce our newest member of the team. Her name is Liz Evergarden, and she is going to be a big part of some of the upcoming missions going on." Batman said slightly nudging her out towards the others.

"Hi, Liz."

"Hello."

"Hey."

Everyone was trying to talk to her, but she never said a word back. Maybe she had social anxiety. Or maybe she was either deaf or mute. Who knows. I imagine she might have just been uncomfortable.

Almost unnoticeably, she shrank back to Batman's side. Her figure grew darker almost to the point in which we almost couldn't see her, only a black blob.

Batman grabbed her shoulder and lightly shook her. She came back into clear view.

"That's all for right now, I will call you when we get a new mission." He said, dismissing us.

The rest hustled out of the room nervous after what had just happened. I stayed hidden in the corner waiting to see what happened next. 

"You can't do that Liz. I know you must be nervous, but I didn't want you to reveal your powers yet." Batman told her. She just stood there staring up at him. It was like she couldn't understand him, or she just didn't care.
