Blue Beetle X Reader

Your POV
I could tell I was being followed. The person following could fly, so that eliminated the Bat family and the Arrows. I finally stopped running and turned around. I caught a glimpse of something blue as I did. I figured based off of that it was probably Blue Beetle.

"You can come out now Blue..." I said.

"How did you..." he started.

"Know? Well, you were flying so that eliminates anyone without flight abilities. When I spun around and you tried to hide, I caught a glimpse of blue, so I thought, who do I know that wears an all blue costume, can fly, and would be stalking me this late at night?" I said as my grin grew into a smirk that covered my whole face.

"Why are you smirking at me like that?" He asked. My white contact lenses covered my eyes so luckily he couldn't see that my eyes had shifted to a light red. My eyes reflect my mood, so the lighter they are the less emotion I am feeling. The darker they are the stronger the feeling. Red means slightly pissed off, gray means very pissed off, blue means sad, green means jealous, yellow means happy, and so on and so forth.

"Well I'm smirking because you aren't really good at surveillance, or stealth." I told him. "And we are a stealth team. Or at least we're supposed to be." He flew along side me as I walked across the rooftop further to the other side. Then I heard something. My head shot up from looking at the ground to look straight in front of me. I shoved blue over and through the door leading into whatever building that it was we were standing on top of.

"What are you doing?!" He yelled, leading me to cover his mouth.

"Shut up!" I whisper yelled. "There was someone dressed in all black gear a couple of rooftops over, and I couldn't be sure but it looked like a Shadow."

"You mean like, a League of Shadows, Shadow?" He asked once I uncovered his mouth.

"Yes!" I exclaimed. "And unless you want Nightwing, seriously pissed off at you, I suggest that we either call it in and wait for back up, or make a run for it."

"Let's make a run for it!" He said as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.

"Right then, follow me, be as quiet as possible, and most importantly be quick." I told him.

"Right." I ran and jumped off the edge of the rooftop softly landing on the ground below. Blue landed next to me and I shoved him into the alley. We hid against the wall for a minute or so. Blue then cleared his throat. I looked up at him and noticed he looked slightly nervous. I realized the way we were standing, him against the wall and me in front of him keeping him somewhat trapped there.

"Oh, I'm sorry." I teased. "Does this make you uncomfortable? My bad." I said pecking him right on the lips and then moved away from him out into the light of the street lamp. Although I was in full costume, my costume was pretty basic so anyone who saw me most likely wouldn't really think anything of it, and no one knew who I was so I also knew I wouldn't be recognized that way. My suit was a black compression shirt, parachutes pants, and a black denim jacket, along with a mask that covered the lower half of my face, and the white contact lenses. So I just slipped off the mask and took out the contact lenses and slipped them into my pocket. Blue retracted his armor and joined me walking down the street. He leaned down and lightly kissed me on the top of my head. Even though he was the one who did it his cheeks were dusted pink. Me on the other hand I was glowing red. I had always thought he was just so sweet.

We eventually got back to the cave to tell Nightwing what happened. Jamie practically dragged me to the lounge. He sat down on the couch and I sat next to him. He turned on the tv and we just binged shows together the rest of the night. "Thank you, Jamie." I said softly as I pecked his cheek.
