You spent most of the day splashing around with the three ginger boys.
At one point Fred came up from behind you and wrapped his arms around your waist to dunk your head under the cold water.
You knew it was just meant to be all fun and games, but feeling his strong hands on your skin sent images of Draco sputtering across your train of thought.
You shivered under the tall boys touch. Luckily he didn't notice.
Your head broke the surface laughing between gasps for air.
Ron sat on the edge of the water in the sun. He seemed to be asleep.
"You'd better be thinking what I am." Fred smiled at you mischievously. You smirked back at him "on three".
The two of you swam up to the sleeping boy and quickly pulled him into the water before he had time to react.
He thrashed wildly underwater for a second before surfacing again and lunging at Fred and dunking him in return.
George paddled over, "I do hope you're not trying to replace your partner in crime Freddie" he laughed.
Ron pulled himself out of the headlock Fred held him in as his bigger brother chuckled and looked at you. "Well george, while I do admire y/n very much I think she's to innocent to keep up with my dangerous lifestyle." He joked.
You scoffed audibly, and the twins turned to you. They spoke to eachother as if you weren't there but both looked directly at you.
"Did you hear that Fred? Sounds like she isn't quite as innocent as we thought"
"I did George, do you think there's something she's not telling us?"
"I wonder if it's a boy" George Mused.
They were grinning like imps as they slowly approached you.
You laughed and started backing away.
You were momentarily distracted as you saw Ron pull himself out of the water.
This allowed the two bigger boys to move forward and attack.
You cackled and splashed against them for a few seconds but you were easily overpowered.
George slung you over his shoulder. "Who is he" they said in unison.
"I dont know what you're talking about" you laughed nervously.
Fred paddled around so he was in front of your face.He raised his eyebrows sarcastically. You wriggled in George's grip but he just giggled and held you tighter.
You snorted "theres no boy!"
George hoisted you up a little higher "right then I suppose you won't mind if we write to Seamus and tell him you're no longer interested"
"I am not going out with Seamus." You said seriously.
Ron spoke up "she told me once she thought Harry wasn't bad looking."
You gasped and squirmed a little to look at him "that was in third year, and you swore never to bring that up again"
Fred's eyes widened in mock surprise. "Really y/n, I always thought you had a little more depth to you than to be enchanted by the charms of the chosen one" he teased
You groaned jokingly and pushed against your captor until you slipped out of his arms.
Swimming up to the bank you said, "it's not like I still fancy him after three years"
"Right and it's not like who know who still wants to kill him after almost fifteen" Ron said sarcastically.
Your heart dropped at the mention of the dark lord but you tried not to show it.
You walked back to the house with the twins, trying to fight off the horrible feelings that were already creeping back in.
When you arrived back at the house it was close to noon and you were welcomed by yet another meal. Everyone was being very kind by not asking what had happened less than two days ago, but you knew it was at the forefront of all their minds.
You'd have to explain it at some point, a moment you were already dreading.

That moment came exactly a week later. Mr. Weasley sat you down kindly, but it was clear he was very determined.
"Now, y/n. I understand how difficult this might be for you..." he began. "But I must tell you its absolutely imperative that you tell me what happened that night"
You looked at your hands, might aswell just let it out. "My parents are Deatheaters" you replied indifferently.
His eyes widened. "Y/n-" you interrupted before he could say anything, before the tears flooded your eyes again. "I always knew about- all their pure blood er supremacy beliefs, but..."
You were both silent for a moment.
"Mr. Weasley, why isn't Draco Malfoy's father on Azkaban?" You continued to try to sound simply curious and indifferent despite the fact that you could feel your eyes growing watery with fear.
He cleared his throat, "well I expect that people as high up in the ministry hierarchy as him would have some strings to pull to prevent his incarceration for at least a while"
"Sir I don't think that it was just his position in the ministry that's kept him out this long..." you paused to think for a moment.
Draco had threatened you not to tell a soul what you'd witnessed that night, the thought if telling Mr. Weasley scared you a bit.
"I know it wasn't just his position in the ministry" you amended quietly.
"What I'm trying to say is, that they have at least one person- probably more, working in the ministry undercover." A tear slid town hour cheek.
Mr. Weasley sighed "Y/n, how can you be sure?"
You laughed humorlessly and wiped one of his tears.
"Because sir, I- I was at one of their meetings, my parents brought me to the Malfoy Mansion under the pretense that it was just another dinner party like they host every year at the end of term"
The man in front of you stayed silent, perhaps in shock.
"Mr. Weasley. He - he was there that night" you began sobbing.
Author pulled you into a hug "its alright I understand, you don't have to tell me anymore"
