The sounds of the new world frightened me to my core when I stepped out of the portal that carried me to the streets, sounds of souls screaming no longer could be heard. Now replaced with sounds of automobiles: Wait, what did that soul call them these days? Carts? Car- Cars. That's it. The new sounds filled my ears as cars zoomed past me as my eyes focused on all that was around me. The air was purer but there was still a taste of pollution that seemed all too familiar to the seventh circle of hell. At least one part of it. Looking around the sights of the world above had changed in the years I've been down in hell ruling by Lucifer's side, more so keeping everything in order while he played with his pets but that's another story.

Lost in my train of thought I didn't hear the yelling around me and was quickly pushed to the ground hitting my head and cursing at whoever had pushed me. A heavy body laid on top of me as I started to scratch and fight to get this big meat sack off of me. They finally shifted onto their hands looking down at me and I glared at them.

"Are you insane? You can't just walk into the middle of the street as if you you own it!" The man spat at me, and I raised an eyebrow looking at him as he spoke words to me that I couldn't quite listen to as I looked over his face. This was what the meat sacks looked like before they came to hell, once a soul came to hell, they no longer resembled a meat sack. They were merely a shadow of themselves, unable to pass on and only able to relive all the pain and punishment they put others through.

The meat sack of a man lifted himself off me and stood but slowly kneeled and held his hand out to me as he looked down at me. The tone in his voice changed, he no longer seemed angry? Afraid?

"Are you alright miss?" He asked in a tone I was not aware of, but the pitch in it made my skin shiver. It didn't have harm or punishment behind it. Nor did it have lust or revenge behind it.

I looked at his hand outstretched in front of me tilting my head as I took it slowly and he helped me rise to my feet. I stood up fixing my attire as I looked at the man who stood in front of me. His eyes had a dark hue to them, unlike the red hue I've seen all these years in the souls that I would see from time to time in the circles. The man spoke more words but I was lost as I looked at what the soul's life looked like before it met the final moments it would relive until the end of time.

"Miss?" The man spoke louder and I returned my focus to his words rather than the amazement I had seeing the meat sacks again.

"Yes?" I asked and he raised an eyebrow at me which caused a rise in my chest, who was this man to raise an eyebrow at me. Lilith, Demon Mother.

"Are you alright? We hit the ground hard and you're bleeding." He pointed to my head causing me to raise my hand to my head confused. Bleeding? Me? I couldn't bleed.

I pulled my hand back from my head to in front of my face so I could inspect it and low and behold there was blood, actual blood. Not just the hallucination I had seen far too many times in the seventh circle of hell. Violence was full of blood everywhere you looked. But it was all a hallucination, meant to torment and punish all of the residents that belonged there.

"I am indeed bleeding. Interesting." I spoke more to myself and the man nodded as he looked at me more.

"Just stay out of the street next time alright? Don't need more traffic being created because your not paying attention." He said before walking away leaving me standing there astonished of how he spoke to me.

I went to take a step to follow the man and demand he apologizes to the queen of hell everything slowed down. I sighed shaking my head as I turned feeling a cold chill come over my body. Standing in front of me was none other than a watcher.
