Chapter one - wedding cake

Hi I just want to say thankyou for all the love this story got on tiktok and I'm sorry for how it ended I promise that won't be the ending this time. Also this is my first wattpad story and I've not really done writing like this before so please feel free to say if I need to improve on anything. Jessica's POV:

6:30am
"Urgh" my alarm had just gone off, today is a friday and also one of the days I have to go and open the bakery
"Guess I've got to get up" talking to myself is a habit I picked up from living alone, well when I am alone more often than not my friends come over and stay for days at a time before going back to their own homes, they say they do it because they miss me but Oliver lives only 5 minutes away and Rose is right next door.

I finnished getting ready for the day and headed out the door, I walked a couple minutes down the street to the small bakery I work at. I went through the back door and into the main seating area to start cleaning. I was shocked to see Rose and Oliver both standing there hiding something on the table behind them

"What are you two doing? neither of you have to open today"

"SUPRISE!" they both said with huge smiles on their faces as they parted to either side side of the table to reveal, a wedding cake?

"Did you think we'd let you do all the boring cleaning on your birthday?" Oliver said, I forgot it was my birthday

"sorry it's not a normal birthday cake SHIT FOR BRAINS over there ordered a wedding cake"

"Sorry I just got a pretty cake, how was I supposed to know it was meant for a wedding" Oliver said defending himself

"It's fine, just buy me a birthday cake for my wedding then it'll be even" if I ever get married, I've not exactly been lucky when it comes to dating

"absolutely not, I'm not trusting him to order cakes ever again"

"You guys really didn't need to do this"

"Ofcourse we did, now can we eat some cake" Oliver said holding a knife

"Yes I'd love some" Oliver handed me a plate with a slice of the wedding cake on it. As we were eating we discussed some plans for later

"So what have you got planned after work?" Rose asked

"Not much, I just kind of assumed you'll all staying at mine again and maybe watch a movie"

"OK, we can do that another day. I was thinking we could go to the new club that opened a couple blocks away" Oliver suggested getting himself another slice of cake

"Ooh that would be fun, we could find you a cute girl to take home" Rose added, winking and nudging me with her elbow

"Really guys"

"Yes really" Oliver said before taking a bite of cake "I mean girl, when was the last time you got laid"

I chocked on my drink when he said that, in truth the last time I did it with anyone was with my ex girlfriend and we broke up before I moved to New York, so it's been well over a year

"Well you're not answering so I'm guessing it's been awhile" Oliver said

Yeah no shit sherlock

"Well maybe if you guys weren't always in my apartment, I might bring girls home" I said

"That's no excuse, we can stay out of your way" Rose replied

I laughed it off, they were not gonna let me say no to their plan "fine, we'll go to the club, but that doesn't mean I'm gonna bring home any girls"

"We'll see" Oliver said getting a third slice of cake, honestly I'm surprised there's any cake left, I thought he would've eaten it all by now

The rest of the day went by pretty quick, regulars come in order their usual and leave, then some new customers come and this repeats itself for the rest of my shift.

After work Rose and Oliver came back to mine and we got ready for the club, they're around so much they have alot of their own clothes already at my apartment
