Me and dabi leave the room to be greeted by shiggy and some man. The man is probably around six foot and he wore a hoodie and jeans. I could barely see anything on him. Only a sheath for two katanas on his back.
"Hey kid, this is ShiKatsu." Shiggy said
Shi stands for death and Katsu stands for victory, I recalled. Funny, so his name together, means life and death.
"What's his quirk and why is he here?" Dabi asked
I realized I spaced out. Was I staring?
"It's called 'death eye' anyone he looks at dies." Shiggy explained "he's here because he wants to be part of the League. He has some good battle techniques so he can teach izu-"
"Karma." I interrupted
I didn't want a stranger to know who I am.
Shiggy nods "karma."
"Oh? Nicknames?" ShiKatsu asked
My stomach did a backflip. I don't trust him.
"Oh no you see karma only has one because-" toga begins
"Of reasons." Dabi finishes
I guess he also doesn't trust this newcomer. Can't say I blame him.
ShiKatsu is silent before asking "what weapons do you specialize in?"
"Anything that has a blade on it. I'm using a scythe right now." I say stiffly
"Oh good. I can teach you some things if you'd like." He said
I shake my head "I'm good."
ShiKatsu nods "I'll head to my room then."
After he leaves toga turns to me and dabi
"Really?" She puts her hands on her hips.
"What?" I ask
"You didn't have to be so rude." She said
"I don't trust someone I met in a few minutes. He has to earn my trust." Dabi says blandly
Shiggy nods in agreement
"And I'm done with being nice to people. Look where it landed me. I'll trust him when he proves he won't betray us." I say
Toga pauses then nods "fair enough."
"That's the plan. Kid, you and ShiKatsu are going on a mission in a few days time. If he betrays you, you have every right to kill him." Shiggy says
"Wait, I haven't even mastered the scythe yet." I said a bit worried
"Now problem just use a knife or something. Or if you master it in four days the use it." He said waving his hand in dissmissal.
I leave the room fuming. I guess I'll go train.
I walk to the training room and grab my scythe. I walk over to the dummy and shift my weight.
"Your doing it wrong." A silent voice.
I look over to see the newcomer.
"What?" I ask looking back at the scythe
"I came to see if there was a training room and just happen to see you holding the Scythe the wrong way. It kinda ticks me off." He said
I roll my eyes "then leave."
"What if I stay and show you how your supposed to do it?" He said
"No way." I scoff
"I'm not going to cut off your head." He sighed
"Maybe not. That would be the less logical way to kill me with other villains here who will kill you with out a second thought." I said matter-of-factly
He laughs "yes it would be dumb to kill you here. Thankfully I'm not planning on it."
He walks over to me and moves my hands further up and down the scythe.
"That's how your supposed to hold it. When swinging it, you do it like a sword. Even if it's lighter and has less blade." He explains
I don't answer
"You move your feet with every swing." He demonstrates with his own katana.
Although I don't trust him, he is giving some good advice.
"And are you flexible?" The question was so random that I couldn't help but laugh
"Uh yeah why?"
"Good it'll help with using the scythe. If you can move your body every which way and swing you have a greater chance of badly hurting your enemies and staying safe." He explains
I nod. Flexibility and stamina were things I worked hard on when at U.A.
For a few hours he taught me skills, techniques and other things. I gotta say he does know his stuff. Over the course of those hours I felt myself relaxing. I had to shake up, telling myself that he still has katanas and two eyes that can kill people.
  ***
I lay facing up on my bed. Today was pretty tiring. I normally only train for a few hours a day, once a day. I guess I should train longer, build up my skills.
I turn my head until I can look directly at my scythe. I remember when I had to pick a weapon. They had played out all sorts of weapons. The scythe caught my eye. I knew it would be difficult to handle but I felt like it was calling me.
I brush my hand lightly across it. Day by day I feel like I'm getting to know it. Then I'll make everyone pay for what they did. I'll especially make Kacchan,no katski, pay. He did the most damage to me. Bullying me. Telling me to kill myself.
All I ever did was want to be friends. I treated him with nothing but kindness hoping for some in return. I never got it for some reason. But Kirishima did. Denki did. Mina did. They all got his freindship.
Was I just trying to hard?
"Stupid." I mumble
I want all of them to pay but do I really want them dead?
I sigh. I spent two years at U.A with all of my ex friends. Never in this two years have I felt what I fell with only being with the League for a month. Here I feel accepted. Appreciated. Any time I break down, they never laugh or give me pity looks.
I smile. Yes the League is much more of a family then U.A or mom was. They never trusted me.
I fall asleep, smiling, dreaming about the day I get my revenge.
