Ioa did not realise how fast time flew by when Optimus and her went out on a drive. The sun had begun to set and the road was painted dull vermillion. The dusty road of Jasper, Nevada was quiet as humans begun calling it a day and went home.
The femme medic was quiet as she pondered through the possibilities of the Prime inviting her out for a night patrol. She is a medic. Sure, she can fight but usually she would have assumed the boss bot would choose Arcee or go solo. The white and gold femme was deep in her thoughts, not noticing Optimus slowing down and maintained his speed by Ioa's side.
Optimus saw his cru-best friend Ioa was silent during the whole trip and spoke up, drawing her back to reality.
"What seems to be occupying your mind, Ioa?" Optimus asked, his side mirror turned to look at her while maintain his speed on the empty road. Ioa merely laughed and throw back the question at him.
"I should be asking you that question, Optimus. You invited me out yet you've spoke nothing of what's on your processors. I KNOW you have something on your mind so don't bother lying. Now, what's up?" Ioa cheekily said, her tone light and teasing.
Optimus groaned softly and sighed audibly, inciting a laugh from Ioa.
"Forgot what you were going to ask? You're getting old, big guy. I heard the first thing that goes when you're old is your memory, dear." Ioa teased him more.
Optimus huffed as he sped down the road, Ioa right behind him. Ioa gasped as she tries to catch up with him.
"Hey, wait up!" Ioa said, gaining speed as she chased after the Prime. She was soon by his side as she spoke, huffing at the mech.
"What's that for?"
"I'm not old."
"Oh? So NOW you're not old?"
"You are, for once, correct."
"Excuse me? I'm always correct!"
"You are insufferable."
"And I am gladly guilty for making your life miserable." Ioa laughed loudly at the Prime's comeback.
Optimus said nothing, pulling to a stop by the sandy road and transformed, seeing that no one was around but them. Ioa followed suit; a small smirk plastered on her faceplate as she stood sassily. Optimus gave her a flat look in reply before breaking out of his character, a small rumble eliciting from his voicebox.
"Why must you be such a sparkling, Ioa?" Optimus narrowed his optics at her playfully; his smile still ever-present.
"AHA! Made you laugh!" Ioa joined in the laughter while doing a small victory dance. The mech shook his helm in exasperation before speaking up.
"Fine, fine."
"You need to laugh more, Optimus!"
"No, I don't think I will."
"Yes!"
"No."
"Yes!"
"We aren't doing this forever now are we, young one?"
"So now I'M the young one? I didn't think you had it in ya to be a hypocrite, Optimus. Need I add hypocrisy to the ever-growing list of OP's real nature?" Ioa stucked her glossa out, her face scruched up as she crossed her servos over her frame, standing by her heels as she continued her teasing.
"Coming back to your question Ioa, I do believe I have something to ask of you." Optimus rolled his optics and waved her off, diverting the topic back to its original lane.
