Chapter 1

Little sobs woke up Minji in the middle of the night. At first, she didn't remember where she was due to the brutal awakening, but after a short time, she understood that she was in the spaceship's dorm with her six other crew mates.
Minji sat in her bunk and started to listen more carefully to understand who was crying. She saw the shaking body of the youngest colleague, Gahyeon, laying in the bunk in front of her. Jiu slowly stood up and headed to her friend to comfort her.
"Gahyeonnie, are you okay?"
Surprised by the voice, the silver haired girl looked at her with her eyes wide open and suppressed a cry of fear.
"It's just me, it's Minji." reassured her the oldest woman.
"Oh, it's you..."
Jiu heard a sigh of relief coming from her crewmate. "I'm okay, just a little worried about this mission. It's my first one, you know?" explained Gahyeon.
Minji nodded and her hand slowly caressed Gahyeon head. She perfectly understood the youngest: she had the same reaction at her first mission. Now she was used to regularly go in the space, it was a routine for her.
"Everything is going to be alright" gently whispered Minji. "We are a great crew, aren't we?"
A smile full of hope appeared on Gahyeon face.
"You should sleep now. Tomorrow will be a very long day." advised the brunette.
But a snoring interrupted her and she saw that her crewmate was already walking in the sweet world of dreams. Whiteout making any noise, she went back to her bunk. But after a little time, she understood that it won't be that easy for her to fall asleep.

Minji and her six crew mates worked for the NASA. Recently, it was decided that they will be send for an important mission which consisted of renovating an old abandoned space ship. It wasn't the first mission for Minji, but it was the hardest of her career. The space ship was in a poor condition and it was difficult to control its navigation. It has been left in space under the surveillance of two astronauts who left when they heard that a whole crew was coming to take care of the ship. Minji didn't knew why the NASA wanted so badly to renovate the ship when they could simply build a new one, but she learnt to not ask any questions. At least she knew her crew mates for a long time: they trained together, worked together, suffered and laughed together. They arrived only yesterday on the space ship and didn't have the time to start the renovation, and they all thought that it was preferable to take a rest before beginning the work.

Minji slowly closed her eyes. Everything was going to be alright, wasn't it?
