a/n: I forgot to add what kaashi (your demon you made a pact with) looks like, so I'll describe it, he has dark skin and he has red eyes with raven hair, and has one crimson red horn on the left side of his head and also don't blame me if the spells I put aren't apart of Noelle it's just that I can't find more scenes seeing her use other spells other then sea dragons roar

"y/n-san, can you show me your magic?" Noelle asks me and I nodded, maybe she wants to know more about my magic, we went outside to test out our powers
"what's the strongest spell you have? it will be easier to practice with strongest to weakest spells first" I say and she nods then her grimoire starts floating beside her as we ready our attacks
"water magic: sea dragons roar!"
"ice magic: heavenly ice fang!"
our attacks hit each other and with my spell, I managed to beat her, her eyes widened in surprise that I managed to defeat her strongest spell
"W-Woah! it's like the same spell I saw with my first enemy" she says and I look through my grimoire for more attack spells and so does she
"water magic: sea dragons roar!"
"ice magic: shield of ice"
she managed to break my shield but she wasn't able to hit me with her magic, she might be using the same spell to try and beat me tho, smart idea
"you can get on defense now, I'll be the one attacking," I say looking through my spells and she nods then casts her spell
"water magic: sea dragons nest!"
"ice magic: cage of infinite hail"
when my attack hit her magic it didn't go through the water, hm... maybe I can study her defense so I can think of something through future battles
"few more Noelle!" I say and she nods then makes defense as I make my offense
"water magic: sea dragons cradle!"
"ice magic: sword of the ice lands"
a sword appears in mid-air then I grabbed it then went to open her defense, it just cracked it but no damage to the magic-user
"your magic is cool y/n-san, but why do you have a devil with you? or how did you get a devil with a three-leaf clover," she asks and I did a small smile and took off my mask and undo a spell that I used on my face revealing my pact mark
"what's that on your face?" she asks and I did a closed eye smile
"it's called a pact mark," I reply and she looks at me confused
"does it mean you made a deal with the devil?" she says and I nodded
"kaashi was the one who I made a pact with, with the help of the person I was able to pact with him" I reply and she makes an 'o' face, after saying that It began to bring back old memories of mine years ago, he trained me to be stronger
-flashback- (a/n: I'm leaving hints for future chapters, don't leave it in the comments let the others figure out ;] )
"you will get there n/n, as ******** of the kingdom so you should be stronger cause you will soon be taking the throne soon, and you might face some dangerous things in the future as well" my friend ***** says as he keeps sending attacks at me and I make shields to protect myself from his attacks
"I-I'm trying!" I said sending attacks at him but he kept dodging my attacks, when I'm not busy we meet in the forest nearby the castle to practice magic, we trusted each other so we tell one of our deep secrets, and yes I know he's a *** from ***** ******* but I trusted him so much and does he, I didn't tell my parents about him cause he might get punished for being from another kingdom
"ice magic: heavenly ice fang!"
he dodged my attack again which frustrated me, tho I'm 9 I still don't know much about my powers cause I didn't use them often
"try concentrating on your mana, you're always trying to defeat me without thinking," he says with a grin which made me blush a little but its nearing night time so I should tell him
"I have to go now, see you tomorrow *****!" I waved to him goodbye then went back to the castle
-end of flashback-
how much I miss him so much, I wonder where he is now... a faint blush appeared on my cheeks which was noticeable to Noelle
"why are you blushing?" she asks as I snap out of my mind then shook my head
"I-I just recalled a memory that's all!" I saw and I hide my face covering the blush that's on my face
"ok, but can you help me control my powers? we can start tomorrow" she says and I nodded then we went back inside the base.
