The Room

Miles walks into the room. It is empty, except for two chairs facing each other about ten feet apart. No one ever ends up in this room unless they need to discuss the details of their interference. It is not that interference is a bad decision, it is just a decision and every decision has a consequence. When an interference occurs though, the response normally creates waves of insurmountable obstacles that make it an overwhelming endeavor to get back on the path. No one likes to be called in to the room. The room only means one thing, meeting with Destiny.

"Come in Miles."

"Should I take a seat?"

"Yes, we have many things to discuss."

"I understand, but I have an explanation for what I did."

"What you need to do is sit down and listen to what I need to say to you. You believe that you can get out of this, but I am not sure you are going to be able to do that. There has only been one who has been able to get out of this situation. It is difficult. The pain and suffering that will occur because of this event will be cyclical, unless she is filled with great power to see past the physical and open her mind to more possibilities."

Miles sat back and started to have a rush of images and thoughts circle around in his mind. He started to realize the complications of what he did, he didn't want to do this all over again, but he may have no choice.

"I would like you to watch what happened." Destiny said.

Mile's voice trembled. "I know what happened. I made it happen. I don't see the need for me to watch it again."

"You do not have a choice in this manner, we are going to watch it. This shall give you the time to think about how to potentially correct this situation. If that is even possible at this point. If not, the plan will be filed as incomplete until we send you out again."

"Please Judge, locate the scene and recreate the experience of what occurred that night." The Judge nods back at Destiny.

Judge put the thought into circulation and presented the incident of that night into their minds.

Anna was dating someone new, not someone worth mentioning, but who would take part in her fate. She met him while casually dating another man, one who may have been good for her, but when she met Peter she was drawn to him. She couldn't pinpoint her desire, she just followed through on her instincts as if she had no choice.

The Judge continued to show Anna's story. At this point it was determined she had no choice, things were not going as planned, she was far off her path and she needed to pull out. She needed to use her exit. Anna was never able to explain why she was drawn to this particular person, but she convinced herself that he was a good option. That precise evening Anna was getting ready to meet up with her friends, a couple of whom were visiting from out of town. While getting dressed she received a welcomed call from Peter and began to flirt instead of getting ready. Peter kept her entertained with his ridiculous routine, always using material as if he was a comedian. A call came in, Anna clicked over to the other line and Billie said hello. The two recently became friends, right after Anna's college graduation. This friendship was not based on compatibility, more of a common interest in getting shit-faced every night of the week. Billie was ringing for help. She ran out of gas, leaving herself stranded on the side of the highway not too far from where she lived. Even though her mother and boyfriend lived quite close to where she was stranded, Billie knew Anna was the one who could be trusted to help her out. Anna was never one to let a friend down. What she didn't realize was this evening Anna was not particularly interested in ending her phone conversation with this new companion. Anna told Billie she would come right away. Right away turned into forty minutes later. When Anna returned to Peter she didn't mention her need to get off of the phone. Instead, with each giggle, she continued to boast Peter's ego for the next twenty minutes.
