Chapter 3

"So what are you gonna take on the hike baby?" Alyssa asked as I pulled my hiking gear out of the closet.

"Armalite AR- 130, Sig Sauer P12, matches, flint and steel just in case we need it, three water bottles, a canteen, better safe than sorry, climbing gear, rope, camera, knife, ammo, MRE's, and a first aid kit." I said as I started to put the rifle together. "Oh and a rangefinder, and binoculars." I smiled.

'Oh my gosh babe, you are so compilcated!" Alyssa said rolling her eyes.

"Me!!?What about you!!? You take two hours to get ready in the morning babe and you call me complicated!?" I laughed.

She begins to laugh, "Well sorry if I want to look good for you baby, sheesh."

I go and hug her from behind, " I love you sweeheart." I say as I kiss her on the cheek. "Alright well, lets go meet the others at the gate."

"Hey guys," I said as I walked towards the entrance of the gate "are y'all ready for this hike."

"Fuck yeah bro, its time to rock n roll." Angel yelled. "Oh and I bought a twelve pack of Corona on the way up here so we can get to partying while camping."

"Oooooohhhhhh paaaaarrrrrrrtaaaaay!!!" We both exclaim as we clap our hands together.

"What did we see in these dorks?" Sidney asked as Alyssa finally arrived, while me and Angel were joking around.

"I dont know, but I think we'll atleast survive this camping trip, don't you think?" Alyssa said as we started packing the Jeep.
"I mean, Cam brought the AR-130, and a handgun. So we should be ok."

"Overprotective much?" Sidney laughs. "But hey, better safe than sorry right?"

"Alright ladies, time to load up. Time to get this vacation started." I say, as I roll over the engine and the jeep comes to life.

Omce everyone is onboard, I load up and head out the gate to take a path away from the villa,  down through a ravine, cross a couple rivers and to the base of a mountain. Once at the base, we start getting our gear together, for the long hike ahead of us.

After a couple of hours we stop at a clearing to set up camp. I unpack the AR and gear up to go hunting. I bring Angel along, while the girls get the fire going. After about an hour of hunting, we come through with two rabbits and four squirrels. While waiting for the food to finish cooking, we open the twelve pack, and gather around the fire.

"Hey bro, I have to ask but, what happened on your last tour? What went wrong?" Angel asks.
After a few seconds of contemplating whetheror not I should tell him, I decide to go ahead with the story. "Well a lot happened and even more went wrong. It actually started on a night kind of like this."
