It's hot. No, wait. Cold...? It's pretty dark, so I can't tell where I am, but... there's a person. I try to call them but no sound will come out. I feel... happy? I'm getting such a huge rush of emotions... but if I'm happy, why am I crying? They turn around, seeming to notice me. When I start to walk forward I notice-

*beep beep beep*

I'm starting to get pretty damn tired of waking up with tears running down my face. If I'm so happy when I wake up, why do I have to be crying? Basically, in our world, once you turn 13 you start dreaming about your soulmate. For some reason, I haven't seen mine yet. I always see an outline of a person, but I have yet to see their face. It gets really old listening to all your friends talking about how they've seen them but haven't met them yet. Hell, Koji's already met his!

I never understood the desperation to find or see your soulmate when I was younger, but now I'm getting worried. What if I never meet them? Oh well, no time to worry about it right now. I get out of bed with a groan. Only a week until my first day of high school. I get dressed and walk downstairs.

"Natsu! Do you want me to make you breakfast?" I yell. My mom's usually pretty busy, so I try to help out the best I can.

"Yes pleaseeeee!"

I giggle and start to make her breakfast. After breakfast, Natsu and I go outside to play volleyball. I like teaching her and she likes to learn, so it's always fun. She's pretty good for her age, after all, she learned from the best!
