Light's POV:

I don't know if Levi knew that I was just saying that to make him feel better or something because, by the look of his face, he seemed to be suspicious but, he soon calmed down. "How long till you have to leave?" Levi asked, still sounding upset. "Uh, five days." I sighed. I really didn't want to go back home but, it's for their safety. I love him, I love them but, it's for their safety. What made me feel worse was when I realized I just ruined the good vibe. "I messed up..." I muttered. Guessing it was loud enough that Levi heard me. "No? What do you mean "I messed up"?" Levi asked, looking concerned. The rest of the squad turned their heads at me. All of their sad faces facing me made me really sad. I knew it was my fault they felt this way. I usually could make sad times into a good time but, not today. Not right now. I lashed out...

"LISTEN, LEVI, EVERYONE IS SAD AND, IT'S ALL BECAUSE OF ME!" I shouted, causing everyone in the cafe to stare at me. I regained my thoughts, realizing what I did was wrong, and apologized before running off. I heard someone call my name but I didn't turn back and, I didn't listen to a thing they were saying. I stopped in my tracks when I saw my favorite place to be. The Bright river. It's not actually called that but, I see this river as my own and decided to name it. I went in between the bushes blocking me from the second-most calmest place in the world. Levi's arms will always be the first. I sit down near the river and relaxed but then realized what I said about Levi's arms. Wait, what- I must be playing a prank on myself or something. Eh, whatever. Even if I felt a spark between me and him doesn't mean I like him like that. Hold on, how does feeling relax around him have to do with liking him?! Did I just play myself!? Oh well, I'm leaving anyway. I'll move on. Wait, move on from wHaT?! I got lost in that awkward thought that, I didn't even notice someone was creeping right behind me.

I looked behind me and saw a black figure. "AHH! A KIDNAPPER! SOMEONE HELP! SOMEONE HELP!" I screamed like I was about to die. This weird figure put his hand on my mouth. "MMPFT" I tried screaming but, my words didn't come outright. I tried pushing it off but, it didn't move. Then, I pulled out a pocket knife to scare it. It had let go of me. "L-Let me go or else I will..." I muttered while trembling. "Light! I've been telling you it's me, Levi, for the last minute. Oh- I guess I was too focused on dying that, I didn't even hear anything. I put the pocket knife away. "*(insert Light's laugh but nervously)* Sorry Levi..." I apologized. That was awkward. He said it was ok though. "Let's just forget what just happened." I sighed. He agreed and, we talked it out. "You know, since I'm leaving, you can keep my handpainted pocket knife," I told him while holding it out for him to take. "Huh? You're coming back though, right?" Levi asked. I didn't know why I promised him I would return but I did. "Yes, I promise. Just hold on to it for me, ok?" "Ok, I will. I'll be waiting for you." "...Great...". Heh, I should be glad that he's committed to our friendship, but it'll be a waste of time to wait.

"Light, what's wrong?" Levi asked sounding really worried. "Levi, let's make these last five days the best days of my life," I responded. "What do you mean? I thought you said you were coming back?" "Uh, I am. One day." "One day?" "Uh, what???". "You know I'd never lie to you," I assured him. But I just lied to him about that. I can't even tell him that I like him. Wait what??? "You're right, Light. I trust you." Great...just great!

This chapter is rushed because it's my birthday so I am going somewhere so yeah :,)
