The Raven Guild.
It's a guild with a strong foundation and a long history. To cut it short, the original creator of the underworld was the one who started this business. A successful and ongoing success filled it as the underworld slowly grew.
But because the Owner of the Underworld changes every time the previous owner is defeated, the guild slowly chipped away. At first, it's standing well even with the changes in the underworld itself but the guild is still connected in the Underworld. To be specific, it's tied down by the rulers of the Underworld.
Once there was a completely crazy ruler of the Underworld. He was crazy for strong individuals and fighting them. A maniac.
The first thing he played first was the hunger ground, where bought slaves and monsters fight off for bets, and a few people in power in the Underworld.
One of this was the guild.
A long standing guild with power, money, connection and an information system.
The only problem is that it has an unstable leader. They have a leader that could be considered strong but not strong enough. Also, they're tied by the rulers of the Underworld, they are not independent. So naturally, they continue to get weaker.
The Ruler continued to target them but soon, after many years or persisting, they somehow been able to become independent but it cost a lot of loss.
They grew weaker and smaller. But the leader, who's the apprentice of the previous leader, never gave up. Alexander Sivan, the current leader.
The guild now consist of only 14 people. It's small but all of them are loyal and stayed.
The guild continue to run despite growing weaker. Maybe it was because they finally began independent.
Small errands, dirty works etc. is what they mostly do and lately they haven't been doing well. Either in their work or financially. Gathering information and network also cost quite a fortune.
Alexander Sivan couldn't give up.
But one day, they received an unusual request which led them in the Arboremere Forest and met this unknown person.
Realistically speaking,they shouldn't follow this person. And base on his 'Judgement' the five of them van overpower that person if they work together. But it will severe their wounds and they potentially decrease the chance of not getting out of the forest.
But his 'Judgement' and his instincts are telling him differently.
'This person is different'
His somehow not human but at the same time, he is.
'He can't point his finger on it but... there something definitely dangerous that this person has. A 'thing' that makes him not human.'
His 'Judgement' is an ability he acquired after suffering from the slums at the Underworld.
By using this ability, he can vaguely sense how strong other people are or their powers.
Although it was vaguely, it still helped him to not run into problem and save the guild by an inch.
It helped him make judgements.
Choices and decision.
This person is just averagely strong. But something isn't connecting.
That's why he decided to go with this person.
And it does look like he's not planning to do something malicious to them.
"So?"
The person's voice interrupted his thoughts. Now that he thinks about it, his voice sounds feminine.
Maybe he's actually a 'she' rather than a 'he'.
"Someone commissioned us in search of a sunburn flower"
"Sunburn? You mean the one from the tale?"
"Yes"
"And you just blindly believed that and rushed here?"
Alex clenched his fist after what the woman said.
"...I got a hunch that it's true and the person gave us a hefty price....."
"Are you sure you're not a mercenary?"
Sighh....
Scarlet sighed.
Sunburn flower.
There was once a tale about the guardian of the Sacred Lands, The Dragon, left his lair and came to the 3 kingdoms.
Back then, they only have 3 kingdoms.
It was said that the people had angered the dragon and received its wrath. The dragon supposedly burned the kingdoms on flames.
Raging flames.
It was often a tale told to kids to warn them to not do bad things.
What's fascinating is the "Sunburn flower"
Apparently, it was a unknown plant without any specialty but when the kingdoms were being toasted, the flower was said to have absorbed the flames and made it they're own.
Like a sun burning with flames. Dancing.
Of course it burns everything it touched but the flower itself never got destroyed by the flames itself.
The flower was said to be always found in the most dangerous places. To maintain its flames, it needed to absorb malicious and negative energies.
Although it doesn't have proof, everyone claims this.
Plus, no one have actually stated they've seen it and was proven.
'It was merely a tale but you're telling me someone believe this?'
It sounds fishy. Super fishy.
But it got nothing to do with me....
So far, it doesn't seem like anything.
Scarlet decide to let it go.
"Alright, you can go now."
Scarlet said as she removed some leaves and showed the exist.
"There really is no monsters... but why? How?"
"Oh. I just hunted them earlier"
"........."
"...I-I see"
"Oh. Right, here"
She tossed some potions to them and said,
"Oh, do tell me your guild. I'd also like to commission in your guild."
Scarlet gave an alluring smile, but of course this was not seen as her hood got in the way.
Alexander suddenly got chills, as if foreboding that trouble will be rolling in front of they're guild sooner or later.
Scarlet now has found a new tool and toy.

Now that I'm rereading my own work, I'm cringing so bad. I wanna fricking redo this all over again but it will change the whole story so I just decided to continue and make it better.
