I am now finally nearing my house.
I've been stuck in school for the whole day.
With the midterms and the new season coming up, things have been very busy.
I just can't wait to get home and tell mom about my exam scores. I got a 98%. After hard work, I finally got my desired score.
As I arrived home, I see my house surrounded by a bunch of police cars and ambulances. I start to freak out.
I park my car down the street and run towards the house. I run inside and immediately regret it as soon as I see my family's dead bodies on the ground, full of blood. Jason, my 20-year-old brother, mom, and dad.
This can't be happening. I can't lose my family. Mom and Jason.
"Raven, you can't be here," said Ricky, the officer. "Rick, my family, are they dead?" I ask him; he dosen't answer.
"Where is Liam? I ask, "They took him" He said, worry in his eyes.
I stand there numb, not quite grasping the reality that my family had just been murdered. I kneeled down, tears rolling down my face as I grabbed my parents' limp bodies. "Mama, Jason wake up, please!" I begged as I began to sob. "Why did they murder my family?" I sob.
"Please don't leave me, please. I need you," I beg as I clutch mom tightly against my chest, sure to get their blood all over myself, but I couldn't care less at this point. Rick tried to pull me away from them, but I push him back.
"Raven, please, we have to go," Rick said as I sobbed uncontrollably. "Rick, I can't leave them! I screamed as he closed his eyes and hugged me while pulling me away from them. "No! Rick! No! Mama! Jason!" I yelled as Rick and two other officers pulled me away and dragged me outside with my kicking and screaming.
"Nooo!" I screamed loudly as everyone outside stared and gossiped.
I dropped down on my knees as Rick hugged me. I couldn't lose my family; they were everything I had. Liam? Oh God! Where could he be? He could be suffering and scared without me.
I held it together. "Who did this?" I asked Rick, "We don't know, but it seems like a gang or a mafia-related murder." He said, "What? I respond with seriousness.
A mafia-related murder?
"It is possible your father was framed and thrown into the mafia world," he said. "This can't be possible," I said as I ran my hand through my hair. "Raven, Melisa is on her way here." You'll go live with her since she's now your legal guardian." He said as he hugged me, "When you find something, tell me." I tell him,"I don't think it is a good idea." He hesitates.
"Please? I've lost everything," I say, holding his hand.
"I'll try, but please look after yourself, Raven," he said as I nodded.
I will kill those who did this. I'm coming for you, Liam. I'll get you back.
