Yumehara sat on the floor of her room. She had a small blue pillow that she pulled into her chest when she was upset or lost in thought. Right now, she was both.
'I can't believe that Kaidou and Kuboyasu are dating! And I can't believe Kokomi and Mera didn't tell me!'
She was in a deep pit of denial.
'He always seemed a little... Well, that, but I didn't think he'd actually...'
'He's so childish, so I guess it's not too bad. I could've fixed him. I could've changed him.'
'But maybe...'
Maybe she didn't like him like she thought. Maybe he even...
Annoyed her.
'Yeah, that's right! He's just an immature child!'
She threw her pillow onto her bed and stood up.
'He was never the one for me! I need a real man! He is too silly.'
"I'm free!" She yelled.
Wait, why did she say that?
She... Had liked Kaidou, didn't she?
Now, she saw his flaws. Everything she disliked about him began to surface. His delusions, his fantasies, those stupid bandages, his easily frightened nature. He was just like a chihuahua.
Maybe... She didn't really like him for who he was. Maybe she felt like she needed to change him. Maybe...
It was better to be free.
She smiled and giggled to herself.

Kaidou walked up to Kuboyasu's desk and grabbed his hand. He kissed him on the cheek and blushed. Kuboyasu also turned pink.
"You really need to warn me before you do that," said Kuboyasu.
"Sorry." Kaidou giggled.
"Get a room, you two!" Nendou yelled.
Yumehara sat at her desk, watching the scene unfold. She didn't feel the least bit of jealousy.
She actually was...
Happy for them. She didn't care about Kaidou anymore. She had set her sights on Asahi Kato, the Teruhashi of the boys. She doodles his face in her notebook and blushed.
Kubuyasu stood up to return Kaidou's kiss.
"Aw, no fair, I was finally taller than you!"
Kuboyasu laughed and kissed him on the lips.
Kaidou's face flushed and he smacked Kuboyasu on the arm.
"Hey, not in public!"
Kuboyasu laughed, along with Nendou. Yumehara was busy thinking of baby names, and Saiki looked away and groaned in disgust. Akechi smiled at him with a sly look that shut Saiki up for once.
Even though they didn't hide their relationship status, it still embarrassed them to, um, "canoodle" in public. It just felt awkward. It was more comfortable in private.
They had to save it for their secret hideout.
