Chapter I

dream's POV

i gripped my steering wheel tighter as i heard sapnap rev his engine in a mocking manner next to me. sapnap and i typically race for fun or to settle stupid fights. i quickly turned my music up and took a deep breath to ease the shaking feeling i had in the pit of my stomach. i always had a sense of adrenaline coarse through my veins when i raced. it felt as though the whole world around me stopped and i was the only thing around. all other sounds were drowned by the sound of my music and engine growling as a i reach max speed. to say the feeling was exhilarating was an understatement.

i quickly regained focus as i saw george, out typical flag boy, raise his arms, the flags blowing in the crisp autumn air. i gave sapnap's car a side glance, his windows tinted so i couldn't see him. my foot began to loosen on the break as the signal came closer and closer. i saw george quickly throw his arms down. i let off the brake and immediately replaced my foot with the gas pedal. my engine revved and i took off. my green gt-r battled with sapnaps red mustang gt500. my speedometer only increased as i began growing closer and closer to breaking 150 mph. the roads were slightly slicked from the rain that feel that morning. sapnap's car began to inch closer to mine. i definitely was not racing to my best since there wasn't anything at stake just us being bored and fucking around. typically large crowds came to watch us but tonight wasn't special so not many people came. only close friends and other racers who hang out in the area. as we rounded the curve the finish line came into view. i smirked as sapnap was now neck and neck with me. i quickly pressed harder on the gas and flew past him. i quickly slammed my breaks as i flew past the finish line and put my car into park.

the adrenaline coursed through my veins and caused my finger tips to tingle. sapnap huffed as he got out of his car.

"you know you didn't have to fucking be a try hard this wasn't a serious race dude," he said angrily. he didn't like to lose. i chuckled at him before patting him on the shoulder.

"i can't ruin the streak now. i've beaten you too many times to give it up over a stupid pointless race," i said to him chuckling before brushing past him to george. i heard him let out an angry breath before walking over to quackity and punz.

"sapnap's got a point there dream, you didn't need to show off at the end there like you did," george said in a sassy tone. i huffed rolling my eyes at him.

"the race was boring, i wasn't trying to show off," i said trying to defend myself.

"yo we should probably scatter soon! don't want cops on our asses again dream!" sapnap shouted over to me as people were leaving. we always needed to leave quickly after racing since cops typically patrol the area around this time.

"yeah alright! i'll see you around george. i'll text you if i need you for another race," i said to him before jogging to my car. as i was getting in, i saw her, Y/N, she was beautiful. she had y/h/l, h/c hair and e/c eyes. she made eye contact with me before winking and getting into her car and speeding off.

"dude stop eye-fucking her and leave cops are coming!" sapnap shouted over to me as he sped off. i was quickly drawn out of my trance. i threw my car into drive and took off trying my best to lose the cops on my ass. i made a series of turns speeding through lights before pulling into an alley and shutting off my car seeing blue and red lights pass through my rear-view mirror.

after 30 minutes i pulled out and began to drive back to my house. i carefully watched for cops since my car wasn't easily missed. its bright green colors were unmatched and it was absolutely decked out. i made it back to my house and pulled into the garage. sapnap lived down the street and i saw his lights on so i began walking over to his place.

i walked into sapnap's house and saw him in the kitchen grabbing a beer from his fridge.

"ay get me one too!" i shouted at him as i sat down on the couch. he jumped at the sudden voice in his house which made me laugh.

"dude fuck you! you could've knocked or some shit. god you gave me a heart attack." he said breathless clutching his chest. i had checked the time seeing it was almost 2:30am. sap walked back two beers in hand. he handed me one and sat down on the other side of the couch before turning on netflix and turning on some random show. i sipped my beer looking at new custom parts for my car before sap finally spoke up.

"nice racing tonight. for a sec i thought i was gonna pass you but hey its whatever," he said shrugging his shoulders. i chuckled before taking another sip of beer.

"yeah that was a good race. i almost got caught by the cops," i said laughing as i said it, "i had to hide in an alley for like 30 minutes to make sure they were gone."

sapnap rolled his eyes," yeah well maybe if you hadn't had a fucking staring contest with y/n that wouldn't have happened."

"fuck you, she was staring at me i was only looking back," i spat back at him defensively.

"yeah yeah whatever. i'm tired i'm going to bed. night dream," sap said to me before getting up and walking to his room.

"night dude see ya later," i said getting up and turning the tv and lights off before leaving and locking the door with the spare key outside. i walked in the cool brisk air back to my place. as i unlocked my door i heard my cat, patches, meowing at the door. i chuckled as i opened the door. she immediately brushed up on my leg and purring.

"i know i missed you too baby. i bet you're hungry huh?" i cooed before walking to the kitchen and filling her bowl with food. i smiled at her before turning the kitchen lights off and walking to the bathroom to take a shower.

i quickly threw off my shirt off and turned the water on setting it to the perfect temperature. as i looked in the mirror my mind couldn't help but think back to y/n earlier. her perfect body. her curves were accentuated by the black bralette and black high rise leather pants. her h/c cascaded down. her lips had a dark burgundy painted on them and her beautiful e/c had black winged liner smoked out. she was sexy and she knew it. and god the way she winked at me when she left. i groaned before getting into the shower. i let the warm water run down my body before slicking my hair back and lathering it with shampoo.

after i got out of the shower i got in bed and after a long day finally fell asleep thinking of those e/c eyes staring at me.
