Finally away from home. Finally on our own. We can do whatever we want whenever we want. As long as we do good in our classes no one will ever know that at nights we're going wild. Life has exploded with possibilities for us. It seems almost like a dream to be on our own.
"Want to hang out?" Some random guy interupted my thoughts.
Remembering that I was supposed to be talking to him I plastered a fake smile on my face before nodding gingerly. After that an awkward silence swept over us until I saw someone waving dramatically in the distance. Looking past him my smile turned into a genuine one as I watched Laci waving dramatically with one hand while keeping another girl from escaping with the other.
Without saying anything I pushed past the guy in front of me running towards Laci. True to her name from head to toe she was covered in lace. She was in a cream colored lace dress that looked amazing on her with a coral colored bow in her dark brown hair with the same color sandals on her feet.
The girl standing next to her was wearing thick glasses on her face with a dark brown messy bun with chestnut brown strands falling on the side of her head. She was clutching a few books to her chest as she stared up at Laci in confusion.
"Who's this?" I asked looking down at her.
"Oh...Yeah I found her in the cafeteria. She was nice so I brought her along with me." She explained as if it was the most logical thing in the world.
Looking down at the pouting girl I smiled knowing that she would fit in perfectly. Under all that random clothes was a pretty adorbably adorable girl and she was now a new member of our little misfit group. Shoving my hand out in front of her I waited for her to timidly grab it.
"What's your name?" I questioned.
"Junior." She squeaked out.
"Can we keep her Hazel? Can we?" Laci pleaded giving me her best interpretation of puppy dog eyes.
"Sure why not." I laughed as Junior grimaced at Laci who released her and was jumping around excitedly. If she could put up with us she could stay for however long she wanted.
