"Irene!!" Shouted Seulgi, as she ran towards the clocktower right in between the two kingdoms of Ara and Maximus.
"Seulgi!!" the princess shouted back. As they reached the clocktower, at midnight, the start of the day, 22nd February.

"Happy Birthday!!" both shouted in unison. "Thank you!" they said as one.
Irene handed Seulgi a small, wrapped present. "This is for you, open it." She said.
"Omo, You didn't have to do this!! Thank you!!" She hugged her. Irene smiled. As she opened it, she found a small locket. Her jaw dropped. It was fully covered in gold and had 'Seulrene' written on it with red. "Open the locket." Irene said.
"There's an opening?" Seulgi asked looking confused.
"Yes crackhead! That's why tis called a locket!" Irene laughed.
"Oh." Seulgi said, her face turning red.
"I guess now I know why you love the color red so much, it rather suits your face." Irene smirked. "Open it already!!" she urged.

As she opened the locket, she found a small compartment, with a photo in it, which had her face on it. "This is so lovely, I love you so much!! Thank you!" Seulgi jumped, like a child.

"There's another opening, yes, right there." Irene said. As the already surprised girl opened it, she found a picture of both of them, hugging. "This is so adorable, I shall wear this right now!" She exclaimed. "I brought a gift for you too." said Seulgi as she handed her friend a box covered in gold. It was enormous. As she opened it she found a golden framed ink drawing of both of them together, and it had 'Always and forever' on the top of the frame.

"I love it!! Thank you so much!!! I will hang it at the best place in my chamber!" squealed Irene.

They both hugged each other again, as they walked through the empty streets of the kingdoms.
Irene stopped for a minute in her tracks. Seulgi, confused (A/N: this girl is always confused lmao) stopped too.

"What happened?" asked Seulgi, her smile turning upside down.
"Have you ever thought of our marriages?" Irene said, turning towards Seulgi, looking her in the eye.
"If I am being honest, I do think about it. At night while sleeping, when my parents talk about it at brunch, when I'm in dance lessons, mostly all the time, but I guess I am used to it." replied Seulgi.
"But I'm not. Why should we even get married to a person we don't even know? What if he's this..... snobby, stupid self absorbed idiot? Who would want to marry him?" Irene let her anger out.
"I would rather marry a girl than a guy." Irene declared.
"I..... I would too. I have been thinking about it. It's a sensitive topic for me. All I'm scared for is the society, letting down my parents, just-" Irene put a finger on her lips before Seulgi could finish.

"Who cares what they think? It's our life, we marry who we want, we love who we want don't we?" Irene cut her off.  "All I know is I am going to support you in whatever you do. I hope you would do the same for me." Irene said, kicking the rocks beneath her feet.
"Of course I'm going to support you, I love you, you are my best friend, I would never let you down, ever." Seulgi gave her a warm smile.

"Ok, I'm done with this topic,  lets talk about our slumber party, who should we call?"
And they both walked away happily.
