IX: Mission with Team Natsu

Three days after Wendy went on a mission with the Thunder God Tribe, she found herself going on two missions with Team Natsu next which was destroying a dark guild and handing their leader over to the Ruin Knights, and hunting down a few beasts that were pestering a small town.

"The Ruin Knights were the ones who took Erik and Jellal away," Wendy thought before she started rubbing her arms due to the phantom pain she felt when she thought about the last time she saw Erik and Jellal "I know they were just doing their job but... I don't like them"

"Wendy? What's wrong?" Carla asked noticing that her human was nervous, shaken, and rubbing her arms

"I think I'm afraid of the Ruin Knights, Carla," Wendy said honestly which got most of Team Natsu's attention except Natsu's since he's grown immune to Troia and is currently suffering from his motion sickness

"Was it because of how rough they handled you back then?" Lucy asked making Wendy close her eyes only to see the time they took Erik and Jellal away and the pain that came from her arms

"Don't worry you won't have to be anywhere near them alright" Erza said trying to reassure the scared girl

"Yeah we won't let those meanies anywhere near you" Happy said before the train stopped

"Hey Wendy I'd just like you to know that you can use any of my spirits if you want alright," Lucy said smiling at the blue-haired girl

"Thank you," She said shyly before they got off the train

The mission went off without a hitch luckily the dark guild's base was in the mountains and nowhere near civilization so they could be as destructive as they want. When the Ruin Knights came led by Lahar, Wendy hid behind Gray shaking and flinching every time a Ruin knight would come near her even Cubellious and Carla hissed at any who came close to her which made Lahar feel guilty

"Here this is for the Sky Sorceress," he said handing the letter to Erza who accepted it respectfully before she watched them all walk away

"Are they gone now?" Wendy asked still fearful

"Yes they're gone," Erza said before she walked into their line of sight "Are you still alright for the monster hunt?"

"Yeah I-I think I am," Wendy said determinedly

"That's the spirit Wendy," Natsu said grinning

"Well then let's collect our reward and head off to Water Lily valley," Erza said before they all walked into town to claim the reward

When they reached Water Lily Valley they saw what looked like massive Wyverns perched on all the rooftops which shocked them seeing as Wyverns usually lived up in the mountains

"What is happening?" Erza asked a villager who was running up to them

"It's not safe these wyverns will make you their lunch of they see you please come with me," he said before he guided them into an underground cavern system

"Wendy are you alright?" Carla asked sighing in relief when she saw Wendy breathing the way Master Roubal taught her

"Yeah I'm fine, the cavern isn't too tight," Wendy said slightly uncomfortable but otherwise fine

"What's wrong with Wendy?" Happy asked, "Does she want my fish?"

"She is a Sky Dragon Slayer you idiotic tomcat she has a small case of claustrophobia," Carla said slightly annoyed
