"I said close your mouth, don't speak when I don't want to hear anything," the king growled in his king command tone.

That girl dropped her head and quit speaking.

The king took her to his house; while everyone remained outside of the king's house.

It was a wooden house. Inside the house, they made the furniture with the rarest wood because it was their king's house. Then, a man with his bag entered the king's house. His name was Ciro, a middle-aged man.

The king placed Eve on his bed. When Ciro entered, his king's action snapped him off guard.

His king allowed no one in his house other than a few counted people, yet he approved of an unknown human lying down on his bed; that's rearview.

"King," he respectfully bowed.

"Examine her, see if her life is in danger," the king stayed beside Eve; he didn't move an inch when Ciro examined her.

After a few minutes,

"King, she fell off the mountain, so it quite shocked her. After that, water entered inside her; she is fragile, other than she is okay, nothing dangerous happened. She is pretty lucky that she didn't bump into any stone down the water; it might be because of the bag she had; let her rest, just don't let her drink cold water for a few days."

Ciro is an Ayurvedic physician who treats village people and is very experienced.

The king sighed in relief. He tucked her inside his blanket; the king made from animal skin; he hunted.

"King, I need to talk to you." Ciro was an excellent friend of the king, so he needed to alert the king of the situation. The king nodded. He appeared reluctant to leave her side, but he somehow did.

In the king's house, sitting area,

"King, do you realize what it does mean if the king kisses someone? Ciro and the king's few trusted people also present there.

The king looked cold and very serious. "I know. I will keep my oath. I would never break our culture," the king said firmly.

"But king, if you do this, the wind family is going to be furious, you promised them," one man suddenly perceived their king, not thinking straight.

"I will talk with them, don't worry," the king coldly stopped everyone. Then, finally, he had enough of their nonsense.

"But king," one man tried to say something but stopped by their king's frizzy stare. Their king was a hot- and cold-tempered man when the king was in a good mood.

Everything around him has a warm feeling even though he never smiles, but once his mood turns sour,

Everyone tries to stay away from him, just like now. Cold sweat ran behind his back as he kowtows in front of his king to save himself.

His king ignored him and looked at everyone. "I'll tell you one last time; I'm going to do everything to protect my land and people, but don't forget I'm The King, and I know best what I should do for my people's wellbeing."

Everyone got on their knees and bowed "we know our king," they agreed.

"Go prepare everything." he stood up and already left, giving the order.

Inside the king's bedroom,

"Ugh, cough" Eve woke up because of sudden coughs as she felt breathless. She felt her chest aching with a dull pain.

She opened her eyes with difficulty. She looked lazily around her surroundings. Suddenly her eyes widened in fear, and she rose as she sat up too quickly.

She touched her face, her throat. She clearly remembered she fell on the water, and slowly her breathing stopped.

After that, she remembers nothing else.

"Am I dead, where I'm, heaven or hell" she murmured confusedly? She believed already that she was dead.

She pinched herself to see if she already crossed life and death's river, but it hurt; she winced in pain.

"Oh god, I'm alive," she laughed, letting out her tears. She was happy and felt reassured.

Looking around, she saw no one. She was looking at everything, seeing such strange decorations around her.

Especially the blanket she was holding. She couldn't bring herself to think about where she was.

'Did someone save me, where I'm" every jumping thought made an uncleared mess in her mind?

When she was fighting with her thoughts, heavy footsteps reached her ear; it was pretty serious, as if the entire floor was shaking.

Eve grasped the blanket and gulped hard in fear; how could someone's footstep be so heavy? It's something big, so, in her opinion, it's hazardous.

"You're awake? A voice buzzed inside the room; voice tone was frightening; Eve ignored what that person said, closed her eyes, and refused to look.

She thought everything would be okay as long as she didn't look.

These footsteps came near to her. Eve wanted to crawl back, but she felt she froze on the spot and unable to move an inch.

"Are you okay" the second time that voice came?

Eve was chanting some mantra her mother taught her in her childhood.

Eve felt a hand on her forehead, and she knows it's a human hand, even though it's pretty giant.

She raised her head and met the most bottomless dark eyes in her entire life she has ever seen.

Both of them looked at each other without blinking.

The silence ended with a shriek from Eve; she hollered at the top of her lungs.

The king stood and let her scream as she wished; it's not like he also could follow her lead.

Eve felt it's pretty hard on her throat because she was weak from her drowning accident. Her sounds slowly stopped, with no break.

Eve felt hoarse, and her throat was dry like wood. The king understood it. He backed off and picked up a water glass; they made it from the mud.

He held it in front of her "drink it," he said in his accent. Even though Eve doesn't know such weird languages, she understood. He asked her to drink the water.
