Surprise (MamaNat)

Summary
Your mom has been on a mission for three months and comes home early to surprise you.

You were sat in the main living area of avengers tower reading your current favourite book. Your mom had been on a mission for roughly four months. And like anyone would you really, really missed her and had stolen pretty much all of her hoodies. You had also used up a lot of her perfume re-spraying the hoodies when they stopped smelling like her. The team all knew how much being away from Natasha hurt you and did their best over the months to comfort you and help you through it.

They had however, kept one piece of information from you that would have really helped you. But they did have a good reason for this. See you thought that your mom wouldn't be home for a while still but everyone else knew that she was actually on her way home at the exact time you were sat there reading in her hoodie.

They didn't tell you this as they thought it would be fun if she surprised you with coming home early. So they got in contact with Nat before she could text you and told her their plan. Eventually, she agreed and it took everything in her to not call you on her 10 hour flight home (her mission was in some remote location in Russia).

So to say you were confused when everyone rushed into the main room yelling things about a suprised would be an understatment. You had read the same sentence about 5 times as you just couldn't concentrate because your thoughts were to loud. Somehow the closer it got to the time of your mom coming home the more worried you got that something would happen to her. But at least you had some peace and quiet. That was until every Avenger (apart from Nat) stormed into the room all trying to get through the door at once and disrupting the peace.

When they finally all got into the room and stopped scrambling around Clint was the first to speak and said, "Okay y/n we know you've been struggling with Tasha being gone for so long so we got you a suprise!" You were now very excited and you were trying very hard not to laugh at Clint as he looked like a kid on Christmas morning.

"You didn't have to do that you guys" you told them after managing (really only half managing) to contain your laughter.
"We know but we did it anyway and that's what makes us such amazing people" Tony said while smirking before continuing, "except Steve". This made everyone burst out laughing and which gave you the impression they were all very drunk which made you slightly nervous about what this suprise was.

Steve sighed gently and walked towards you taking your hand in his and pulling you out of your seat. He asked you if he could put the blindfold on you and did so after you agreed but making sure it wasn't too tight.

Then you heard Thor yell, "Let us go now as I can imagine Lady y/n is excited for her suprise and we are also!" Thor's voice was loud normally so when he yelled it was like booming thunder (cos he's the lord of sparkles)and it echoed around the room. Everyone else cheered and you felt someone take your and lead you to some other part of the tower.

Once you finally stopped walking you could hear Wanda, Clint, Tony and Pietro all giggling in childish glee. Then Sam spoke softly to you, "Okay your suprise is right in front of you so when you're ready you can take off your blindfold, okay?"

"kay" you responed quietly feeling a mixture of excitement and confusion but also feeling slightly overwhelmed by all of this. After a few seconds of trying to calm your nerves and excitement you carefully took your blindfold off. As your eyes adjusted to the light you saw a blur of bright red. When your eyes were fully adjusted you saw your suprise and gasped bringing your hands up to cover your mouth and dropped the soft blindfold.

Stood in front of you slightly bruised and dirty but there all the same was your mom, Natasha Romanoff. Everyone smiled and laughter at your reaction as Nat said, "Hey moya lyubov."

You ran towards her and wrapped your arms around her neck as you cried into her neck. As you were quite small for your age Natasha was still able to pick you up and did so now hold you close and whispering comforting words into your hair.

A few minutes later you had calmed down a bit and lifted your head out of her neck and almost whispered, "Mama, you're home!". In that moment, to Natasha you didn't seem like a 14 year old but much younger. She gently kissed your nose and you questioned her being home so early.

Bucky explain as it had been his idea in the first place and you leapt out of your mom's arms and ran at him slapping his arm (the metal one though as you didn't want to risk actually hurting him and you were known to pack a punch just like your mother). He just laughed and picked you up off the ground and began spinning you around. He continued to do this until Natasha came to your rescue by taking you out of his arms and placing you carefully on the ground beside her.

It's safe to say you barely left Natasha's side for multiple weeks after that unless you absolutely had to. Everyone found it completly adorable but also enjoyed teasing you about it but you just ignored their playful teasing. Natasha absolutely adored your clingy-ness as she had also missed you very, very much on her 4 month mission but also because she felt that before the mission the two of you had been growing slightly apart. But now you were together as much as possible and neither of you planned on letting that change any time soon.

I was watching a load of soliders coming home and suprising their families and stuff like that on youtube and it was just sooo cute! So I decided to write this and I thought it would work better with Mama Nat and Daughter Reader so yeah. I hope anyone who read this enjoyed it. 💕💞
