Lapse (Cordelia Goode x Reader Story)

Cutting it Close

When Cordelia realized I was gone, initially she thought I went out with Madison and Zoe that night, because it was the weekend and we didn't have classes. So she heads to the greenhouse to calm her nerves and think about things.

After spending a lot of time in the greenhouse, Myrtle ends up coming in to check up on her and scares her on accident. 

Myrtle: "Have you seen Y/N today?"

Cordelia: "No, I haven't, why is everything alright?"

Myrtle: "Well I just haven't seen them since yesterday..."

No one in the Coven realized you have been gone since last night. After your walk to the gas station with a couple of bottles in your hand and eyes full of hurt and pain. It was around 3 in the morning and everyone was asleep, so you thought. You try to enter the Coven as quietly as possible while heading to our room without anyone waking up. 

At this point the thoughts were taking over my head, as I sit on the cold bathroom floor with my hands over my ears and trying whatever I can to block out these thoughts. I couldn't, I couldn't take it anymore...It'd be better if I was gone and no one will have to worry about me anymore.

I started the warm bath, took the shiny blade I hid in the bathroom cabinet and started drawing red lines, I could finally feel something and I couldn't help but let out a smile. Many lines later, I could feel my vision getting blurry and feeling extremely tired...

Cordelia and Myrtle were still talking in the other room about you.

Cordelia: "Something's wrong..." She says out of the blue.

Myrtle: "I'm sure its nothing dear" trying to get Cordelia not to overthink too much

After a long silence Cordelia decides to head to bed and Myrtle decides she'll check on you to make Cordelia feel better, not knowing the image she was gonna see.

As Myrtle heads up to your room, when she knocks and get's no answer, not even a small noise from inside. She starts to get nervous and opens your door with her powers, that's when she sees the bathroom light on and quickly runs over. Only to see your lifeless body with the blood stained razor next to you. Not knowing what to do in this situation she heads to Cordelia's  room.

Myrtle: "Delia! Get up...It's Y/N!" 

They both run straight to your room, waking up some of the other witches like Zoe and Queenie. Zoe tells them to stay at the door and not go in with Myrtle and Cordelia. Without warning Cordelia goes into the bathroom. She's frozen at the sight of water overflowing the bathtub and the lines you've created upon yourself. She tries to lift you up into her arms to hold you as tight as she can and whispers in your ear that "Everything is okay"..."Stay with me!" While Myrtle and the girls are all in shock at the door not knowing what to do.
