                    Casey Jones' POV
I clung to Raph as he carried me down the ladder with ease, my head pounding and throbbing harshly. I groaned and buried my face in the crook of his neck to block out any light, as that wasn't helping either.
"You're fine Casey- we just need sensei is all, y-you'll be ok." I didn't really acknowledge the way he was speaking, as my thoughts were too blurred from the metal bat whacking me so hard.
"Hurts- Raph-" We finally reached the lair, passing the dojo and kitchen and heading straight to Splinter's room. I heard Raph and Splinter exchange a few words, but my headache was getting worse so I didn't really understand them.
Raph laid me down on a mat, before rushing off to do something Splinter told him to. I whimpered a bit and made grabby hands at him when he left, my head not in the right place and me just not wanting him to leave me alone. Splinter then began to tend to my wounds, causing a burning pain to shoot through my head as I grunted out a yelp of pain.
Soon Raph came back with a small tub of water and a damp cloth, placing the rag on my head when Splinter had finished wrapping up the wound. The red-cladden turtle had an odd look on his face, one I hadn't seen before. It actually contained and emotion other than anger, it was one of concern and worry.
"He will be fine, my son. Perhaps you should watch over him though, to be sure. Do not let him sleep for over 20 minutes, as we need to make sure he doesn't have a concussion." I then heard Splinter exit the room.
I felt a small pressure on my hand and moved my head just a bit to see that Raph had placed his hand on top of mine. I smiled slightly and blushed, why was I blushing and smiling?!
I furrowed my brows and mentally shook my head, turning my gaze back up to the ceiling. The hotheaded turtle sighed and placed his head on his knees.
"I'm sorry. I couldn't protect you, I failed as a friend." I glared a little and looked at him once more.
"You're an idiot for thinking like that. You didn't fail me, you didn't fail anyone. It was my fault for not paying attention to our surroundings, and you weren't even close enough to reach me by the time I was hit anyways."
He looked a little annoyed that I called him an idiot, but the expression soon melted away when I explained. He sighed and looked at me with those pretty, emerald green eyes, and I avoided eye contact and looked back at the ceiling.
"Tsk, shuddup you hockey dork. Just, get some rest, you look horrible." I laughed a bit, wincing at the throbbing in my head as I closed my eyes.
"Not like you look any better."
