John Egan - 'Back To Square One'

You and John share a little boy and a little girl. Your little girl is your oldest and is 9 however your little boy is a lot younger and is only 3 years old Y/S/N and John are inseparable and you were lying if you'd ever said it didn't melt your heart. It's safe to see they absolutely adored each other. Your little girl had always been a mummy's girl and won you over the moment she was born. Many people also always say that she is your double and always will be.

You and John had met at his debut for Crystal Palace when your mental health was at its worst and you had a panic attack in the stands after you though you'd seen your ex boyfriend. With this being the end of the match, it caught his attention and was straight away running up the stands towards you. It was at that moment you knew you'd fallen in love with John Egan.

Within 2 months you'd met his whole family and you'd won them over. Within a year into the relationship you fell pregnant with your baby girl. 9 months later you welcomed your baby girl who you both named Y/D/N Egan weighing 7 lbs and 2 oz. Within 2 years of your baby girl being born you and John moved to Gillingham. 2 years later you both had to move to Brentford where a year later you fell pregnant at Christmas time and gave birth a couple of months into John's career at Sheffield United. Shortly after giving birth you announced the birth of Y/S/N Egan weighing exactly 8lbs. On that day you knew you'd have the perfect family with you, John and the children.

However, 2 years later it put a strain on your relationship. The cause you ask? Lockdown. The UK had gone into a lockdown during a pandemic. In the middle of April it was the 10 year anniversary of your dads death. He was your bestest friend and it broke your heart when the time came to say goodbye especially at such a young age. John knew of this and usually was very supportive during days like these. All you wanted was to spend some quality time with the children. Although John had a different idea and refused everything. You missed the old John. And this was only the beginning. Football training soon returned and you began to see John even less which caused an upset for your children. You did your best to entertain the children to the most but to them this was never enough.

Your little girl just wanted her dad back. July came and the games were back. Your little boy loved the football, but your little girl not so much. She craved the cuddle from her dad when he came back from football even if he was in your daughters words "stinky winky". Every time he'd go straight in the shower and wouldn't even tuck them in.

This whole new John disappeared when the new season came and he walked in on your shared children throwing a tantrum branding you as the "worst mum ever". You never told him but this wasn't the first time they had done this. He couldn't understand why they would do this to you. "Are you both going to tell me why you're being so horrible to your mum?" John finally asks your children. "Daddy we don't want just mummy!" Your son screams at John. He was taken back to say the least. John finally replies, "why don't you want mummy?" Your daughter finally plucks up with the courage and replies with, "we want mummy AND daddy." John then realised he'd missed out on so much. "He's not wrong John I'm the worst mum," you said. "You're not." He says. "I am, I can't play both roles John. I can't play mum and dad. I need you to help me. You abandoned us when we needed you the most. You ignored me when I needed my boyfriend but that doesn't matter does it? As long as you're okay and the big John Egan has his football." You'd had enough finally and you and your children moved out and your mental health was back to square one.
