Author's note: I have had major writer' block for a while now.  Not sure why... so here's a chapter that is poorly written for the time being.  I don't like it.

"Dylan, look!" Abby gasped as she looked out the window. I groggily opened my eyes from my nap and looked over towards the window. My eyes immediately opened wider. It was snowing very heavily outside. Lakewood hardly ever got snow, let alone a large amount. I sat up to see the extent. Snow was everywhere! It looked deep, too. "Oh, can we go play in it?" She asked, sounding very excited.

"Yeah, in a little," I promised as I stood and kneeled by the window. The thought of romping through the snow sounded great. I suddenly heard someone approach from behind us.

"Oh, Zach!" Abby squealed. "Have you seen?"

"Yes, I have," He said unenthusiastically. "And I must drive to work in it tonight!" He grumbled. I highly doubted that... They would probably close considering the road conditions.

"Oh, lighten up," I laughed. "You may have seen a lot of snow not too long ago, but we haven't!" I said matter of factly. Zach snorted and peered out the window next to us. He didn't seemed impressed at all, but I liked to think he was just trying to be cool.

"Will you play in it with us?" Abby asked, not sounding faltered at all by her brother's attitude. He shrugged.

"I suppose so," He grumbled before retreating away from the window. I laughed quietly to myself and stood up before moving back to the couch. I sat down, still feeling slightly groggy.

"I am going to go put my coat on!" Abby said happily and ran out of the room. I laughed to myself and shook my head. She was such a happy child.

My face was so cold it felt like I was being stuck by thousands of needles. I grit my teeth together as a large batch of snow was thrown in my face. "You fucker!" I growled and wiped my face off hastily. I looked to see Zach laughing hysterically, his hands resting on his stomach. I scowled at him before running forward and slamming him into the ground. He let out a yelp thing that sounded really funny. Killian began barking and running around us. We wrestled around briefly before, as usual, he was on top of me holding my wrists down. I squirmed, holding back my laughter as best as I could.

"You can not beat me, Dylan!" He said with fake anger before laughing and letting me go. I was so cold it was ridiculous. It had been so long since it had snowed, I forgot just how freezing it was! Zach ran away, his black sweatshirt and jeans covered in white snow. I laughed out loud at how stupid he looked. He turned to look at me, his hair also caked with it. "What!?" He growled.

"You look so fucking dumb!" I yelled to him through laughs. He glared at me and ruffled the snow out of his hair before wiping it off his clothes. I let out a deep breath that was visible clearly in the frigid air. I looked over to see Abby in the distance making a snow man. She seemed to be enjoying herself. She hadn't been part of Zach and I's prior snow war.

When I turned to look back at my boyfriend I saw that he playing with Killian. It almost looked like they were playing chase. I smiled to myself before shivering. My teeth chattered together uncomfortably and I was beginning to think I should go inside. Killian barked at Zach and started running like a psycho in tight circles. Despite the cold, he was panting when he finished. I rolled my eyes and laughed at this.

It wasn't long before Zach noticed I was just standing there. He raised in eye brow and walked over to me. "What is wrong?" He asked lightly, putting an arm around my shoulders. I leaned into him and very quickly noticed how wet he was.

"Nothing, I'm just cold," I said truthfully. I was actually extremely happy. It was the first time in a while we were having so much fun without alcohol involved.
