⚠️CH. 2 - First day nose Bleeds + Deaths⚠️

RIGGER WARNING - BLOOD AND PARENT DEATH

After the girls and I woke up we took our time getting ready as we woke up extremely early on the first day to catch up with our other friends. When we were done breakfast was put on the tables, most of us grabbed cinnamon rolls as it was a treat for Rikki and I, because we are 1st cousins and she comes from one of the Sacred 28 she has to be a perfect pureblood witch.

Her and I mothers were cousins, Her mother married into the Nott family, my mother married into the Howell family a Welsh family. Both of our families have a strict policy about hanging out and affiliating with what our parents would say "mudbloods". 

Even though Rikki and I are a part of such families we are still friends with Sophia. Anywho the girls started to talk about something when I felt two hands grab onto my shoulders. I obviously screamed and slapped the person behind me, turns out Regulus didn't know that I hit people when I get scared. 

"Oh my word- I am so sorry!-" I say checking his nose for any blood. His nose eventually does start to bleed since I hit him straight in the nose. Eventually the Marauders came up when they saw me grab napkins. "Damn Howell who'd you punch?" Potter said, laughing slightly. "I accidentally slapped Regulus and now his nose is bleeding and it won't stop." I say tending to the boy that I slapped. I replied to the boys that have a smug look on their faces.

Regulus has Hemophilia A aka 'the royal disease' where if he bleeds it won't stop in 5 minutes like a normal person would. "Reg, did you take your meds that Poppy gave you?" I asked giving him more napkins. "Mother took them away from me." He said, holding the napkin to his nose. 

"Go to Poppy, she should be able to give you something to stop the bleeding." I say giving more napkins to the poor boy. Regulus walked off to go to Madame Pomfrey's office. "What'd he do?" Sirius asked, holding back a laugh. 

"He scared me and I accidentally slapped him." I say crossing my arms. The boys laughed like little school girls at the situation. Then like that breakfast ended. 

Me and Rikki went to History of Magic when Binns started on his rant, me and Rikki started a conversation.  "My mom has me engaged to Evan Rosier and I'm expected to marry him at 18." Rikki said, taking notes. "I've been engaged to Regulus since I was 2, his and I's mothers are best friends." I say painting my nail with Tyrian Purple that Sophia gave me as a gift for my birthday.

"But you and lover-boy actually could work as a couple, Evan and I would be like Cygnus and Druella Black." She exasperated leaning back in the chair. "Ask him out and go on dates, the only reason Regulus and I's marriage would work is because we're friends." I replied. 

The class ended and I found Sophia and we went to potions class with the Gryffindor seventh years before lunch. "Today we are going to make Amortentia." Slughorn spoke, grabbing all of our attention. 

He guided us through the potion making process. After that Slughorn encouraged us to smell it. "Sophia you first, smell it." He said pushing our Amortentia towards her. "Hmm I smell sugar, lemons, and cologne." She replies. 

"Remus you and then Sirius." The professor spoke to the boys. "I smell aftershave and butterbeer. " Remus said, looking at Sirius. "Books, Chocolate, and coffee." Sirius spoke, staring at Remus. 

If you didn't know the boys who were staring at the other boy, you'd say they were friends. But I've known Sirius since I could remember and Remus I met when I was eleven. It's that the two boys I trusted with my life are in love. 

The two boys never unlocked their stare. Until the professor spoke again. "Aurora you next." Slughorn said. I walked up to the cauldron and sniffed it, I knew exactly who I smelt. 

The boy I had a crush on in third year, one of my best friends, the boy whose mother despised her oldest son. I was in love with Regulus Black. I pulled my head up and my head was rushing with thoughts.

And then class ended leaving me speechless and unfocused for lunch and the rest of the day. "'Rora, are you okay?" Regulus asked me. "Uh yeah." I say walking off.

I walk out of the castle and near the lake, I sat down and read my book, until there were footsteps. "You are really in love with him?" Sirius asked plopping next to me.

"Sirius I don't know-" I started before getting cut off. "You don't lie to me I'm basically your older brother- Well I will be when you're eighteen." Sirius cuts me off. 

"Fine I do! Is that what you wanted to hear!" I say on edge. "Finally you admit it, now mission get Reggie to admit his love for you. Because it's obvious that it's there." Sirius said with a cheeky grin. 

Then dinner time rolled around and nothing much happened except. "Aurora!-" Aestero said, trying to get my attention. "Yes brother dearest?" I replied, getting my food. "I got a letter from dad." He said sitting down. 

"I swear the only time you two talk is when you or him get a letter from your parents." Sophia pointed out. "Mhmm sure, anywho holy crap-" My brother said, gasping from the letter. "Mum got killed Aurora." Aestero said bluntly.

My eyes tear up instantly, I might have not had a good relationship with her publicly. But I knew that she loved and cared for her children. He pulled me into a hug, and for the first time in a long time I cried. 

Soon all of my friends saw me and my brother in a embrace and they looked sadly at us both. "Ms. Howell and Mr. Howell, is everything okay?" Minnie said with concern in her tone. 

"I'll tell you later Minnie." I say drying my tears facing the stern woman. "Well fair enough, the rest of you should go to bed." She said in her Scottish accent.
