"Aurora, the train is leaving in an hour." Mother shouted as I groggily got out of bed. Its four days after my birthday, I am fifteen.
After I finished changing into my black dress pants and white button up. I go downstairs, and see my sixteen year old brother reading a book and eating toast. "You're going to get crumbs all over your book Ast." I say and he looks up from his book.
"Eh wouldn't be the first time." My older brother replied. "Aestero go get your trunk and bring it to the car please and thank you dear." Mother yelled from the kitchen.
"And Aurora, get your shoes on and put your trunk in the car as well please and thank you." Mother said as I grabbed my heeled boots. I zipped up the zipper on my left boot, grabbed my trunk and put it near the car. "Limy!" Mother yelled for the house elf. "Yes Mistress." Limy replied. "Can you please put the children's trunks into the car?" She asked the small elf. "Yes Limy can Mistress, anything else?" The elf asked. "No but thank you." Mother yelled, opening the door to the passenger seat of the car.
"Howell Children, are you ready for hogwarts?" My father asked Aestero and I. "Yes father we are." We said in unison. "Aurora, keep your brother from getting into trouble with the Marauders, will you?" My father asked. My brother doesn't have a bright past with his Gryffindor counterparts.
"I swear there is always a fight between Potter and Aestero every single year." I said pointing out the rivalry between my brother and one of my best friend's best friend.
"Speaking of that, Aurora, you're not hanging out with Sirius anymore since he is a blood traitor right?" My father asked. "I am not hanging out with that disgrace." I lied to my father. "Good, Walburga says that Regulus is doing well as if you already didn't know that." He said winking at me through the rear view mirror. Ast fake gagged and said "Gross."
"At least I have someone that isn't friends with me for their personal gain." I say pushing a sensitive subject about his ex-friend. Evan who was only friends with him to get closer to me.
The rest of the car ride was silent. We reached the train, my mother kissed both of her children on the forehead and gave us our trunks. I immediately notice Regulus coming towards me and we walk aboard the train and into the same cart.
"How have you been 'Rora? Regulus asked me. "Good, I assume aunt Walburga has been yelling at Sirius." I replied. "Obviously, except she's been extra stressed because of Sirius' disownment." He said.
We continue to chat until the door opens and 7 figures are in the doorway, the Marauders and my friends Sophia and Amirah. "Aurora, you want to join our cart?" The boys, mainly Sirius and his co-ringleader say, while Remus and Peter stay silent. "No, because I was chatting with your brother dearest, and I would prefer it if you didn't start a fight with my brother." I deadpan back pointing my index finger at Potter.
"Yes, pay me my ten galleons Black." Riki said with her hand out. Sirius groaned and handed her the money he owed her. "Boys I'm stealing Remus whether you like it or not." I say grabbing Remus' shoulder and sitting him down next to the girls. "Now go, shoo!" I say pushing the rest of the Marauders out of the cart.
"How is my favorite Gryffindor doing?" I ask while the girls sit next to Remus. "I'm good and you?" He replied. "I am decent." I said putting my legs over Regulus' lap.
"Soph how was your date with the Ravenclaw guy?" I asked the redhead. "He's so sweet, he even got me a necklace on the date." Sophia said, flaunting the necklace on her neck.
"Reggie, may I do something please?" I asked and he nodded. I grabbed the black eyeliner pencil, and put it on his eyelids and under his eyes. "What did you put on me 'Rora?" He asked looking into a mirror I handed to him. "It's called eyeliner, it's muggle makeup." I said as he gave me my mirror back.. After that most of us fell asleep and the rest read. Until I was woken up by Regulus to get my stupid robe and tie on. Then the train got to Hogwarts, we woke up Remus and Rikki and left the train.
Immediately three boys came into sight one had curly messy hair in a short style with shaved sides, one with shoulder length curly messy hair, and one with a blonde short hairstyle. "What do you want?" I asked, "We want Moony back, besides you had your time with him." Sirius replied, pouting with puppy dog eyes.
"I barely get to see him since you have to have him the whole week!" I replied, rolling my eyes. "Fine, you'll get him on the weekends!" Sirius said dramatically, grabbing Remus by the sleeve and dragging the poor boy to the carriages.
Speaking of, we walked to carriages and entered the large castle. Soon the first years came in and got sorted and then it was curfew. Aestero walked the first years to the common room and guided them to their rooms.
As expected I got to room with Soph and Rikki, and as our first night back in hogwarts tradition we stayed up till midnight talking about our summers. "My family and I went to Italy." Sophia said, showing us Polaroid photos of her in front of the Leaning Tower of Pisa.
"I stayed at home and read for the majority of the summer other than that I went to Grimmuld place to hang out with Regulus or Sirius." I said my eyes were slowly getting heavier and heavier by the second. "I went to visit my Aunt in the states." Rikki managed to say before I passed out.
