Hunger games prompt
Sam: A career from a well known district (of your choosing) that is very skilled with tridents. He abandons the "career" team to protect a man he just met.. he believes this is death for him, but on the roof top, before the night of the hunger games this man speaks about his district. The tales of this new man sneaking out to get stuff for potions, healing materials. He also told him about his family at home, starving and unwell due to the harsh conditions of the district. Sam is enchanted by this and makes a silent promise to himself. Help Ponk win.
Ponk: Ponks a simple guy from a small district, smart with potions and healing materials. He has basically excepted his fate when starring st the competition, but then someone catches his eyes, and apparently Ponk catches his as well. They chat until the night before, wishing each other best of luck. If Ponk was t going to win this, he wanted the man too. He wanted sammy to win.
During the games, They get even closer and the game makers keep them alive until final 5 for more viewers they collect. but even thst has to end when the game makers grow bored of them and try and kill one of them with natural disasters, but they survive till final two. One of them has to die. There are two endings that I thought of
1. Ponk or Sam eat a poison berry to save the other, the other being left into a great sadness, having to mentor the next tributes and continue the cycle
2. They find a way to both survive, then together are the shambles of rebellion, fueling the uproar and defeating the hellish nightmare.
Bonus points if it shows how life was afterwards!
