//tw: character death
Wilbur's face went white.
To begin, his baby brother had come busting through the front door, covered in blood, stumbling over his words and barely getting to the point before hitting the deck.
Next, Wilbur had left the house and seen the four dead bodies laying on the ground.
'But there had been five shots fired...?'
He counted as he rounded the corner; now, here he was, staring in shock at his brother's seemingly lifeless body.
'If there were five shots.... Five...'
His breath caught in his throat and he bolted to the pink haired man laying in a pool of his own blood.
'Tommy shot Techno.'
Wilbur knelt next to his brother.
He took a deep breath and placed his fingertips against the pulse point.
'Come on, Tech. Give me something.'
Though the pulse was light, it was present, and at that he took a deep breath and began searching for the wound.
It didn't take him long to find it- the bullet had made an entry point through his shoulder.
'It could still be lodged there. He could be okay.'
His mind was racing- Techno was unresponsive, and Wilbur wasn't strong enough to move him on his own.
He was just about to dart inside and get Tommy when the blonde rounded the corner.
"Wil... Wil is he okay?"
Wilbur gave no answer, but beckoned him over.
"Help me move him. Now. Be careful, don't touch his shoulder. Easy."
The two managed to get Techno to a standing position, and dragged him inside, laying him on the linoleum in the kitchen.
"Tommy. I need you to stay here and apply pressure to the wound. Don't leave."
Wilbur's voice was raspy, taut with stress.
Tommy knelt down and shakily applied pressure.
His mind was racing. He wanted to say so many things, but as his brother's breathing consistently shallowed, he couldn't find the words.
"I'm sorry, Techno. I'm so sorry. I'm sorry."
He repeated it over and over again, tears streaming down his face.
"I didn't mean to." He said softly, like a little kid who had accidentally hit his brother in the head with a toy.
"I didn't mean to." He repeated, this time like a little boy who'd thrown a baseball through the window of their neighbor's house.
"I didn't mean to." He said, this time around like a 17 year old boy who had just shot his brother. He knew Techno couldn't hear him.
He knew Techno would probably never hear him again, because as he looked his brother over, he saw another wound.
This one was in his stomach.
Another gunshot wound.
Tommy counted back in his head. He'd only fired five times.
Right?
Only five?
His eyes went wide and he began to breathe faster.
