i walk over to the pit and i'm dumbfounded by what i see. Inside the large open pit i see a large group of humans armed with spears and swords, all set up in a line. On the other side of the pit i see a larger group of those same humans, only this time they are wearing padded leather armor, and some of them have actual helmets.
Above the two groups a single catapult is aimed at the both of them, and on the other side of that i see a caged beast.
"Isn't that the gargoyle?!"
i begin to hear yelling and screaming in the distance.
i begin climbing the wall of the pit, making my way towards the catapult crew. Several of the men turn their heads and gawp at me in admiration.
"Hey boss, wha--" one of them starts to say, before i pull out my dagger and slit his throat.
The others quickly realize what is going on, and begin backing away as i advance towards them. By now, Alison has arrived with the rest of my men. She doesn't look pleased to see me killing the humans tasked with protecting her.
"What the hell are you doing!? We're supposed to be protecting them!"
"I'm protecting you." i say, before leaping down into the pit with your sword drawn. The men are ready for me though, and i am immediately besieged by their attacks. I fight off three of them.
