CRASH! I walked into someone, balancing a stack of files. I saw that it was a girl and she helped me up as we both starting sorting some files. I was red with embarrassment and she looked up at me. I had just come from Artemis's office and into my favourite clearing in the ruins.
"So sorry! I wasn't looking where I was going. I'm Chloe. Chloe Saunders. I work for Virgineum and yeah." She focused on my eyes and we gasped at the same time. No, we had the same eye color as each other.
"I-I'm Annie Creed." She looked down shyly and the man next to her shuffled nervously.
"Uh... Can you excuse me for a moment?" I dialed a number and talked. My eyes widened as I took in the new information.
"Your m-" I didn't have time to continue because a hand grabbed all three of us and pulled us in. Annie screamed in horror and looked up. I was lying on the green grass and she had looked down to see Michael under her. Annie blushed and got off of him and he grinned, his eye twinkling mischievously. We all turned to look at the view and saw the marvelous view after I coughed noisily.

Annie's POV
"Annie! We have a guest to celebrate your birthday with!" Papa's deep voice echoed in the temple. I shivered. Why was it so cold? Looking down at my short sleeved floaty white dress, I walked down the stairs and tripped over the last step. Warm hands caught me and I stared up into warm amber eyes of a beautiful man. The beautiful man chuckled and helped me up. I felt my face slide into a pout and I marched stiffly over to Papa, the priest. Suddenly, I had a thought. Maybe he was here to let me into the outside world! I hadn't been outside before except when father had let me play only in the garden. He said that I couldn't go outside because my eyes were a violet with golden speckles and that I would get bullied for it. The man who had helped me up, smirked as I smoothed my dress down. What a meanie.
"Happy 17th Birthday Annie!" Papa was staring at me with a lovable smile. His eyes twinkled and the corner of his eyes crinkled. I smiled back as I went over to a present.
"Oh Papa! This is simply lovely!" I threw my hands over him and her patted my back gently. He pulled back to let him face me.
"Annie, meet Michael. He will be taking you outside to the ruins for a field trip. He will keep you safe," I looked at Michael, my frown returning," But remember, don't touch the locked door next to the exit. Understood?" I nodded. I didn't need him to protect me! I could protect myself.
We walked through the garden as I trailed my hands over the marking on the walls of the ruins. Michael stared straight forward and then sighed.
"You remind me of someone I knew. She's not here anymore though." He looked at me. I simply nodded, too scared to say anything. CRASH! I walked into someone balancing a stack of files. I saw that it was a girl and she helped me up as we both starting sorting some files. She was red with embarrassment and she looked up at me.
"So sorry! I wasn't looking where I was going. I'm Chloe. Chloe Saunders. I work for Virgineum and yeah." She focused on my eyes and we gasped at the same time. Oh my god! We had the same eye color as each other.
"I-I'm Annie Creed." Chloe nodded absently and took out her phone.
"Uh... Can you excuse me for a moment?" She dialed a number and talked. Her eyes widened and she looked at me.
"Are you alright?" I jumped. Realizing that Michael was there, I gave him a short bob.
"you're m-" Chloe couldn't finish her sentence because what we hadn't realized was that we had opened the locked door and it was open with a white light. Out of nowhere, a hand grabbed all three of us and pulled us in. I screamed in horror and looked up. Chloe was lying on the green grass and I had looked down to see Michael under me. I blushed and got off of him and he grinned, his eye twinkling mischievously. We turned to look at the view and saw the marvelous view.

Chloe's POV
We all straightened our clothes and gaped at the towering temple that stood before our eyes. It beckoned us in and we shuddered, an dominant aura coming from inside. Suddenly, a goddess appeared, her eyes narrowing.
"A banished cupid and 2 daughters of Persephone, what a lovely visit," She purred. Annie stared blankly at the goddess not comprehending. The goddess stared at Annie and sighed, slightly smirking.
"I'm Nemesis, Nice to meet you all."
