The war was still on since the previous quarter of the day and the sunset was far away. Prince Dakshraj and his men was fighting ferociously against Rajangarh's militants while the leader behind waiting for correct time. This battle was nearing an end weakening army strength of Prathaangarh being the correct move of King Suryaveer. Half of Prince Dakshraj's troops were dead and the enemy's army was twice the size of which was his. Nearly almost soldiers were sent for this unreasoned, unannounced battle remaining guarding the fort. Though the situation was tough Prince Dakshraj managed to give compelling fight inspite of he and his soldiers being tired. This war being a unique one with no prior notice and no unfriendly relations with them was finding hard to cope up their strength. Prathaangarh soldiers lost their hope to win as few of them were outnumbered. Still they kept tackling each foe soldier who had all the bravery to attack in their homeland. Continuous clashing of swords, screaming of injured men, pungent blood smell mixed with sweat and dust fog in the air covering the battlefield. King Suryaveer was having a sense of victory in him seeing his enemy fall out so easily. But his victory feeling lasted long for few seconds itself.
A troop of soldiers, only cavalry marched towards them with the leader in their front riding at a high speed. Leader had not more armour and no helmet only turban around the head but face was covered with eyes exposed. Even amidst the fog the person was exceptionally visible. Rajangarh's men got cautious of this new arrived troops. Before they could think of attacking them the leader and his men released multiple arrows simultaneously riding the horse killing them right away.
Such method of 'Multiple weapon attack' was only practised by Damini. She was the one who lead the extra troop. She did what she was prohibited few hours ago.
"We are on verge of losing, your highness. Half of our army at the battlefield is no more and most of them are injured including Prince. one part of it is guarding the palace. They have double the army we have. Even soldiers from our provinces have been up but no change. We need to do something." A minister informed about the condition of battle which increased stress and tension across all faces present for special court.
"I am going to fight against them." Damini rose up keeping her decision, an exceptional decision making the ministers' eyes pop out.
"No Damini you won't. I am leaving." Nirvaan spoke up opposing his friend's words she spoke little earlier. He knew she is up to something aa usual but this time she crossed her levels. "We can send message to our allies to help us in this critical situation." Opined the head guard of fort not before greeting the King. Every single citizen pf Prathaangarh had rights to put their opinion before his highness relevant to welfare and service.
"No one will come forward. The one right there attacking us is Rajangarh. No one will come to help us fearing that next attack will be on them. And even if they did, we will lose till their army arrives. We don't have much time. Raja Saheb, I had brought along some soldiers whom I myself trained them at Maaytha for presenting them before you. With your permission I can lead them. We have no other option left." Damini said politely facing King Mahendra who did not seem to be convinced by her idea of fighting a war even though it was him who taught her how to hold sword when she was three.
"Damini, women are prohibited in participating in wars. You can't go." Queen Sarala devi declared entering the assembled special court as she heard about Damini and her arrangement to control the war happening.
