The day dawned with its first work of clicking the time for court proceedings. The yellow light filled the magnificent Royal Court Room which made its path upto the golden throne set up high above stairs. The throne took the shape of peacock facing opposite sides and the opened feathers made the back of throne. To the sides of the path were seats of ministers according to their ranks and a special throne put up for a special person beside King's throne to his left. The ceiling hung huge chandeliers and fans attached to them. Such beautiful architecture couldn't be found anywhere else.
Ministers and governors of kingdom stood up in respect as King Suryaveer walked into the court took his seat signalling the start of proceedings. The royal treasurer stood up and spoke.
"Your majesty, the report on the
provinces conquered from battle against Prathaangarh has been made as follows, so far we have recorded the population upto 50,000 houses per province also palaces at each are under our control. They have a lot of resources counting the sum of 758 horses and elephants, 1056 kgs of wealth, 835 sets of arms and areas covering 507 miles. Manpower is however low due to concequences as a result most of the ladies are widows. Our kingdom has been expanded victoriously from a directions with additional 15 provinces in total of 38. One additional benefit is the province of Maaytha which was governed formerly by......
a lady named Damini Bai from Prathaangarh. This state is highly known for its trade relations and connectivity to other kingdoms by roads. It is the only large state with high importance and single handedly governed one by a mere lady. This state being under Rajangarh is an advantageous in improving commercial relations more effectively. All the detailed reports regarding each is being handed over before you, your majesty."King Suryaveer keenly listened to the words and took a brief look at the report submitted. Before he could reply about the matter the announcer made announcement of arrival of Rajamata.
"Saavdhaan! Rajmata Avani Devi raajsabha mein padhaar rahi hai.
Attention! Rajmata Avani Devi is approaching the court." Everyone stood up in honour and a middle-aged woman with royalty speaking aura walked in with grandeur while the men bowed as she went past. She took her seat beside the throne specially and Her long ends of dark red saree spread to her sides keeping her arm rested on knee.
"Continue the words. " Her loud voice boomed around which made the ministers shiver for a second. She is the second most feared person next to King Suryaveer, her son. Her words are the final verdict and no one could ever dare to oppose. She is a perfect combination of affection and power.
"Let the resources be allocated accordingly. About the ladies, each house should be requited 10,000 coins and a job to satisfy all their needs. Governors will be appointed shortly once the siege laid goes as planned." King Suryaveer declared the matter while Rajmata had something churning her mind. The rest of the proceedings were discussed some of them were given verdict. After the matters were over the court dismissed and they returned to their usual chores.
Being restless on his decision Rajmata Avani Devi went to his chamber so fast that the announcer did not have time to announce her presence. Suryaveer was relaxing at his study area as if he knew his mother would make an arrival. Rajmata walked regally and stopped before him who stood on her presence.
"Surya, what I am thinking is not you are doing, aren't you?" Rajamata said expecting his answer to be as yes. She clearly knows what he is up to and his recent behaviour of making personal matters to political. She knew what he does is for her but this needs to be in control before it goes out of hand, he made such a decision.
"Ma Saheb, if it about the siege on Prathaangarh then no." He said calmly turned back taking few steps. Rajmata looked at her son who is the King with flat expression and reached his shoulder.
