Pov: Ava
Here I am in my truck on my way to the unknown. My name is Ava and my life isn't unicorns and rainbows. Since young my parents did not care a single bit about me. I grew up lonely and with no connection to my parents. After I turned nineteen I found out that I wasn't even theirs
Flashback
"We have to tell her I am DONE" I heard as I passed by. "We are going to she is not even our daughter," he said irritated. My heart sank. I am not theirs. I was treated like shit for years and now I am finding out that the beating me up while drunk and me cooking for them was for literally nothing!!!. I went from sad to mad. I put one of my feet into the living room and said "Don't bother I will just leave now" and with that, I packed my stuff and got into my truck.
End Flashback
and that's how I ended up here. I looked online and saw this cute little house that I could afford. Even though I am sixteen I do have some money in my hands. I never went to school and Always had to work for my parents----- ooh wait fake parents so they could buy alcohol.
I am so happy to be out of that hell hole that was home to me for years. I kept driving until sundown. I arrived at night but the town was full of lights. They hanged beautiful lights in the trees and the town had a cozy vibe. I looked around until I found the mayor's office. I opened the door and the smell of coffee and sigars entered my nose. In the room were these big sets of leather chairs and if I took a look in front of me was a desk. On the desk was this big bell that you could ring with your full hand only. My hand went to the bell and "HJESBUVSHKVKVKV" my eyes went large. How does this bell make so many damn sounds????!!!!. A lady around her forties came to the desk with a nice smile. "Hi, sweetheart are you, Ava, perhaps?". The sides of my mouth curled up and I nodded my head up and down.
"Well nice to meet you! I am miss soil, the wife of the mayor." The lady was so sweet compared to my mothers. "My name is Ava Moss, it's very nice to meet you too! I did not think people would be up so late at night". She laughed at me while saying "You could say we love the night in this town, during the day it most times rains, That's why we called it 'Rains Forest' not for nothing". It rains a lot here???, DAMN I LOVE RAIN. Imagine being in your home with a hot cup of chocolate milk. I can't wait to live here. "That's interesting! but if I can ask I came to get my keys for the house??" she nodded her head and gave me the keys. "The house comes with furniture so do not worry about it and also your home is a couple of meters away from our house, so if you need any help just ring the bell!! okay sweetheart?"
I nodded for the last time before leaving the building. I drove my truck and ended up at this place. It was amazing I could not describe it in words. I put all my stuff into the beautiful home and looked out of the windows while drinking my last bit of chocolate milk, that I bought on the way here.
My bedroom had this big bed and looking at it would be very comfortable. I showered myself completely with hair and all before stepping out in my bathrobe. Even out of the window it looked so peaceful. I heard the fast movements of leaves and saw a wolf. The wolf for some reason looked at me for a couple of seconds before running with its pack. Why did I feel like running to him?
I just went to bed thinking of that wolf all night long and why he looked at me and waiting for my first day at Rains Forest.
I hope you liked the first chapter of the book. It took some time.
