hello beautiful people sorry this has literally taken me aggeesss (thanks @Mrunmione for reminding me this existed ahaha hope its not too bad :))

also I corrected some mistakes in the chapter before so if u get a notification or something for that then that's why but I haven't changed anything that's happened it's just spelling and stuff

i thought i'd do a recap beacause i know i've forgotten what happened so this is incase you have too:

Andi and Tina started laughing in maths class and Emma (the new girl) covered up for them. Andi and Tina are gonna thank her at break...

It was break and Andi and Tina were psyching themselves up to go talk to the new girl. She must've only been at their school one day and already seemed to be friends with 20 million people. Andi didn't understand how that happened but admired her very much for it. The only problem was it meant going to talk to her would be even harder.

"Oh no she's with the cool girls," Andi whispered to her friend, "maybe we should just talk to her later?"

"Noo Andi you know if we don't go now it'll be like two weeks before we get the courage to thank her again and then it'll just be weird," replied Tina.

"Yeh I guess you're right... still..."

"No Andiii," Tina said with a laugh, "come on, I'll be right behind you." She gave Andi a light shove forward.

Andi laughed with her and grabbed her hand ", don't you mean right with me" and with that they dragged each other across the field, giggling nervously.

Andi took a deep breath as they approached the girl and the gang of people that surrounded her. If the people were a drink, Andi thought it would be called something like 'Intimidation' (from concentrate). But they weren't a drink, they were people, which was scarier but probably less gruesome.

"Um hi...hi," Andi stammered, "excuse me."

No response.

She stared at Tina with wide questioning eyes who just shrugged and reciprocated her expression.

"Excuse me?" she muttered again.

Both their internal panicking intensified until Tina's mind just went 'screw it' and she tapped on the girl's arm.

Ginger hair wafted up as the girl whipped round her head. Andi couldn't help but notice the cute freckles that peppered her nose and how her slightly surprised eyes and small o of surprise that her mouth made quickly turned into a wide smile that seemed to light up her face like a sunbeam. Andi started thinking about how she made her think of a whale shark - but like, in a really good way. Her mind wandered and her thoughts turned to how cute she found whale sharks and how much she loved them... which swiftly moved onto how she was never going to tell this girl she reminded her of one. There was, ya know, just a bit of a massive chance she wouldn't appreciate it.

"Hellooo," Tina slightly sang before immediately regretting it, "um I'm Tina. We came here to say thanks for maths but now we're here it does feel a bit random I'm not really sure what I'm doing I'm sorry I'm rambling imma shut up now." Tina's face was slowly getting redder and she gave a nervous laugh.

The girl laughed too but it wasn't nervous or harsh. It made Andi think of kind bells which didn't really make sense but still, it put her slightly more at ease.

"No worries," the girl smiled again, "I'm Emma by the way. I joined this week," she looked at Andi, "who are you?"

Andi jumped and suddenly realised she'd been staring at Emma just a little too long.

"Oh right hi... I'm well, uh..."

Emma laughed her warm laugh again.

Andi tried again "I'm Andi but if you like you can call me... wait um sorry no that's already a nickname uhh... I think a shark is a cute thing to be by the way it's not wait hang on ah sorry." Now was one of those moments when Andi wouldn't be complaining if a convenient hole just suddenly opened underneath her.

Much to Andi's relief, Tina stepped in to save her from any further embarrassment and told Emma how they'd probably be going now.

"Ok," Emma smiled again, "Nice talking to you guys. Bye Tina! See ya round shark girl!" She winked at Andi and with that Tina and Andi walked away still laughing nervously to hide their internal pain.

But, as they were walking to their next lesson, Andi did reflect on the fact that she supposed it could of gone worse.

sorry this literally took me like forever and 2 years to write and it's still super bad. i'm so sorry that it's super cringey and i don't even know if it all makes sense. i hope you still enjoyed it?

hopefully the next chapter will be up a lot sooner (if you still wanted to read this lol) although as you guys can probably see i am rubbish at keeping to time ?frames? ?schedules?. i dunno just anything to do with time tbh i'm even kinda bad at reading the time lol
