A mural. Whose smart idea was it to force three musical compositions majors to paint a mural on the one of the busiest buildings on campus?
When Marie saw the roster of who was to be paired together in her elective arts class, the name Min Yoongi and Jeon Jungkook stared back at her. In that moment in time Marie was cursing every living being in this universe.
Now, sitting in the library with a very wide eyed freshman, patiently (not really) waiting for the senior to show up, Marie was cursing Min Yoongi and only him. Last meeting for this project, he didn't show up at all, and this one, he was twenty minutes late.
"Noona, let's just start on the sketch without him, if we don't start, we won't finish anytime soon." Jungkook says quietly, placing his hand on her arm to get her attention away from the library door.
"You're right," Marie sighs, turning her focus to the sketchbook and boy in front of her, "Did you have any ideas for the mural?"
That got her partner's mind running a mile per minute, "I wanted to do something to relatable to students on campus but not everyone is Korean here so something Korean would be pointless. So maybe, pop culture or— everyone loves aesthetics lately maybe we can do something related to that; like flowers and mountains and nature reared stuff."
Blinking twice, Marie's face breaks into a smile, "At least I know you are committed to this."
"Who said I am not committed?" And the devil arrives, a total of 45 minutes late. "I want to do something inspiring, like quotes and such."
"Quotes are too cheesy." Marie quipped, "Jungkook's idea is really good, especially because 20% of our grade depends on how many SNS posts we get, so if we match the majorities aesthetics, then the more they will take pictures in front of it."
"You're just siding with him because you don't like me."
"Or I'm siding with him because he did his research and didn't half-ass his work."
"The only half-assed work I see is you."
"You're such an asshole."
"You're a control freak."
