The next time Marie sees Yoongi, it's fleeting. That's all it took for her heart rate to pick up though, and some very small part of her hoped that he would glance in her direction and stop to say hello.

She squashed that small part like it was a mosquito on her arm.

Marie's mood was on a downhill decline from there.

She had an appointment with her advisor at two, and she completely forgot about it. Her friend Taeil tried having a conversation with her but she was staring blankly at his cup of water for the longest time until he got fed up and left her staring at the empty seat in front of her.

An intervention was staged that night by Marie's roommates, Kyoungsil and Sooyoung were waiting in the sitting room by the time she got home.

"Who pissed in your cereal?" Soo-ah shoves a bottle of soju into Marie's hands.

"Take a wild guess," It didn't take long for her to put two and two together, there weren't a lot of people who can effectively ruin Marie's day.

"Your mother?" Marie shook her head, "Yoongi-oppa, then?"

Just his name boiled her blood, "Oppa?" But the honorific— he doesn't deserve the honorific, especially from her best friend.

"We had a math class together last semester, he isn't that bad of a student." Kyoungsil shrugs like it's no big deal, "Why don't you get along again?"

With a unnecessary huff and an extreme overreaction from Marie, she lets out a scream, grabs the two remaining bottles of alcohol on the table and stomps to her room.

"Those are ours!" She hears as she is about to slam her door.

"Not when you're siding with the enemy!"

Afterward, the pictures on the wall rattled.
