Chpater 3- Not For Me

After that tragic encounter with Luke I knew Luna wasn't gonna let this go.

"He asked for your name" she squealed, "i mean you must have caught your eye"

"Not interested" I raised my voice a little so she knew I meant business.

Luke was probably the type of guy that had one night stands and played football or some sport they put millions of hours into, and honestly I don't need a guy like that. This year is for me and for me only.

"Well maybe that's a relief cause I kinda got eyes for him" She blushed.

"Didn't you just break up with Josh, 2 days ago?" I tried to sound astonished, but really I know Luna, she doesn't commit...but whatever makes her happy.

"Yeah..i guess but we knew that was never gonna happen"

"Mhm tell that to Josh"

Luna scowled and took her place in the lunch line.

Lunch went by reasonably quickly, Luna left me half way in to try to squeeze her way into Luke's table, so I was left to 'admire my surroundings' which we mostly Confused Freshman and the trying to be popular sophomore. I noticed that half of the seniors were gone, probably to the nearest Taco Bell or Something that was reasonably cheap.

Sighing I reached down into my bag and pulled out my book 'the daughter of the pirate king' one of my favorites, an enemies to lovers sorta thing. Even though I have read it multiple times this book still hits close to home.

'You don't know anything about me or my father-'

"Excuse me Zoey-" Someone said standing above

"Ah-shush, lemme finish the chapter" I pushed my finger to the person's body and gave them a non-forced push. They didn't move..suspicious

After I finished a little more than 'finishing the chapter'. I put my book away, by that time the figure had sat next to me all comfortable  like.

"What is i-t" I wasn't able to finish because standing right next to me was..you guessed it Luke freakin Malborna, "umm what are you doing?" I asked

"You looked lonely so I came to accompany you love, you should be thankful" he stated, being clam. As he reached and grabbed some of his lunch.

"Well if you haven't noticed I was perfectly fine without company, and dont call me that"  I glared back at him, finally meeting his blue eyes.

"Mhm, sure you were, and i happen to like that name so..." he smirked "anyway What book were you reading?"  He asked, bringing an apple slice to his mouth.

"A book"

"Which book"

"A book that I like"

He stopped eating to turn to me, his blue eyes glaring at me. He was swift as he grabbed my bag and took out the book I was ready.

"Uh- rude" I stated trying to grab the book from his hands, but all he did was smirk and me and pulled the book higher above his head, "give it back" I said jumping to the book.

Saldy instead I did not grab the book, instead I landed in his lap.

Recovering myself I got up and apologized.

"No no, this was quite the entertainment , love" he smiled brightly, his teeth a shiny white.

"Mhm sure it was fun..for one of us" I ignored the name.

He gave the book back after inspecting it, and by that point i would say all the girls were looking at me, well no glaring at me like I stole something of theirs. Bring my self to reality I excused myself to the library .

"May I isist you?" He asked standing up.

"No, I think I'm good," I answered, not meeting his eyes. There are plenty reasons why I shouldn't. Number one being the girls over there.

"Why not?" He said, I glanced to look at him, he better not give me those puppy dog eyes. Fuckkk he was..

"That-" I excamiled pointing to his table, which not was full of girls watching us with an intense eye. Satisfied I walked away.

After finding a quiet corner to read, I reflected on the lunch encounter
#1 luna is gonna be all over me
#2 all the girls are gonna hate me
#3 Luke doesn't even like me! It has only been a day
Confused, I held my eyes over my eyes. See he has already gotten on my mind. His dark blue eyes and dark brown hair was- stop Zoey stop stop stop. Luke Malborna why me???

.It was there I promised myself Luke Malborna was not for me.
