"AHHHHHHHHHHH!" Leo screeched as he dangled from a rope by his ankles. "You wanna take back what you said about us shorties?" Charlie called, holding the rope over a steel pipe, and every so often letting go, and pulling back up again. We both had tag teamed on him, easily overpowering him with speed and our combined strength. Charlie released the rope, sending Leo plummeting to the icy water beneath us. Charlie waited a total of ten seconds before pulling Leo back up from the depths, who was panting and taking overly exaggerated gasps for air. "You're insane, the BOTH of you!" He coughed in a raspy voice. "Maybe you should leave him dangling just a little over the water, see if the Granny snatches him out of the air?" I suggested, smiling smugly. I know what we did was cruel, but to be fair he WAS being a bully first. "WH-WHAT?!" Leo shouted, fright forming in his eyes as he tried desperately to untie his trapped feet. "You mean like fishing?" Charlie asked, leaning his head back in thought. "Oui! AND maybe we can throw the Granny onto land to dry out!" I replied, eyes bright. "A win for both, I'll say!" Charlie laughed, and he began to lower Leo slowly into the water. "W-Wait a minute! Don't put me back in there!" Leo screamed. "You know, he claims to know these parts of the Maw like he knows his own two feet!" I said, walking up to Charlie, and resting myself on his rib. "Well then," he began as he continued to lower the rope, "the Granny and him should get along like cake and icing if THAT'S true." We shared a giggle as Leo screamed out, "You two are gonna get it when I break free from here! Mark my words! You'll be sorry to have EVER CROSSED PATHS WITH ME!" "All you have to do is say "I'm sorry"." I called over the edge of the platform Charlie and I stood on. "And that we we're right, and that you're ashamed of yourself for picking on small girls." Charlie said, smiling smugly. "AND that shorties rule PLUS that you won't ever be mean to us again!" I added. I could sense distress from Leo as he went lower, and lower, and just before he was dipped in the water for the umpteenth time... "O-OKAY! YOU WIN! PLEASE, JUST LET ME BACK UP!" Charlie and I looked at each other, and we grinned in victory. Charlie pulled Leo back up from the depths below, and said, "Say it then." "S-Say what?" Leo asked, breathing heavily. "What we told you you had to say to avoid being Granny food." I reiterated, leaning against the wall. Leo tried to calm himself, and stuttered "I-I'm sorry I was mean. You were right, and I'm ashamed of picking on a small girl." "And?" "And that shorties rule, and I will never bully you again." "You swear on it?" I asked, taking my place beside Charlie. Leo sighed reluctantly, and nodded his head. "I SWEAR on it." Leo muttered, and Charlie smiled in satisfaction. He handed the rope to me, grabbed Leo's hands, and pulled him inward, making him land safely and softly onto the platform. "You two have lost your gourds you know?" Leo began, a little calmer, and much happier than he was when the rope was on him. "Yeah, well, it was worth seeing you potentially soil your trousers. I hope you've learned your lesson, and we can all get along." Charlie replied, sticking his hand out for him to take. Leo looked between him, and his outstretched hand for a couple of minutes, seemingly annoyed by the offer. "Get that away from me! I'm capable of getting myself off this nasty floor by myself." He finally said, lifting himself off the ground. "Alright, suit yourself mate." Charlie replied, backing away from Leo to give him room. "Don't you "mate" me! I barely know who you are!" Leo snapped. "He was only being nice, Leo." I huffed, crossing my arms across my chest. "Yeah, "nice", sure!" Leo scoffed, and pushed his way passed us. I sighed as Charlie made his way to me, and whispered, "Do you suppose he really messed himself?" I smacked his arm, and he began to laugh out loud. "You try to be nice to, okay?" I said, putting my hands on my hips. "Very well, I'll try." He replied, smiling, and we both started off after Leo. "I wonder if he wants to join us? I wonder even more how his attitude will affect us from here onward." I thought to myself as we caught up with him. We'll just have to wait and see what happens next.
