Ok, ok, i'll admit, as i was walking through the airport with my parents and phone addicted brother, i was freaking out. Like- a lot. My mom gave me a reassuring smile as we got close to security.
"Alright, do you have everything you need? a normal bag and a hockey bag?" She frantically checked.
"Mom- mom. I'll be fine. I promise." I said.
My dad started tearing up, "My baby girl is all grown up." He said a bit to load.I could feel my cheeks growing red. Why did my parents have to be so emotional? I sighed and gave him and my mom a hug. Kade looked up from his phone at me. I saluted him. I saw a faint sad smile on his lips flicker for a moment, but of course he did not show if he would miss me or not. I smiled one last time at my family, turned around and started walking. I looked back one last time. I never realized how much I would actually miss them.
As I was sitting, waiting to board my plane, my phone buzzed in my pocket. It was an email from Mr. Tibbles.
Mrs. Goslyn,
I hope you got your ticket, so you will be able to still board your plane. That's not why I emailed though. Coach Bombay wanted to set up a group chat with all your future teammates. Charlie just added you to it. He got your number from me. Enjoy getting to know your teammates!
I smiled. That's cool I guess. I can get all of their numbers. The group chat was called, "Team USA '' pretty basic but it's a start.
"Flight 14 is now boarding." the announcer said.
That was my flight. Why did I have the jitters. It's not like I'm meeting them yet. As I boarded the plane and found my seat I was thinking only about the team. Team that and team this. I just needed to rest before the big day tomorrow. As I was thinking about my family and how I missed them, I fell asleep, and before I knew it, I was at the hotel.
a/n: Im sorry this one is super short. But im excited for the next chapter!!
