Taehyung had brought them to a high-end restaurant in the centre of Seoul overseeing the lustrous night view, but unlike the previous girls whom he had dated, he could tell that she wasn't impressed by the fancy cutlery, posh atmosphere and well-dressed waiters. "Tae, this place is too expensive." She whispered as her eyes glazed over the astonishing prices on the menu. "I could buy at least a month's worth of groceries with the stuff here." She commented, leading him to chuckle at the girl's innocent words and thriftiness.

That was one of the things he loved about her - she never seemed to be impressed by the finest things in life nor money, something that was so genuine and rare to find in the current materialistic society. He recalled the moments where his ex-girlfriends would make a fuss over him not purchasing a handbag for them, or the times where they insisted on dining at a Michelin restaurant - Jihyun was a breath of fresh air, and he wanted to cherish and love her with everything he had.

"Come on Ji, it's Christmas. Loosen up a little." He chuckled as he ruffled her hair but she continued pouting. An idea soon sparked in her head as she raised her eyes in delight, "How about we get some takeout instead? I wouldn't mind having some pizza and chinese food!" She clapped her hands excitedly and Taehyung couldn't help but laugh. The girl would rather have takeout food than steak and caviar?

She could tell that Taehyung was unconvinced but honestly, fine dining was never her thing. She was clearly not impressed by the high prices and small portions, and she never understood the need for so many different cutleries on the table. "We can order pasta too, that's Junghyun's favourite. Right, baby?" She winked at Junghyun and she cheered immediately in her seat, "Mushroom Pasta!"

And that was how they found themselves in Taehyung's private apartment an hour later with takeout food in their hands. "Sorry for intruding in your apartment, my mum has her friends over tonight." She scratched her neck awkwardly after settling the food on the table. "Don't worry about it, it's Christmas! Everywhere is crowded and I hate crowds anyway." Taehyung shrugged as they laid the food out on the table.

Leaving Junghyun in the living room as she got distracted by cartoons, Taehyung led Jihyun on a house tour. She couldn't help but awe at the space he had gotten - it wasn't a huge place, but it had a homely vibe to it. "Your place feels... cozy." She remarked as he leaned against the doorway while looking at her, "It feels like home now that you and Junghyun are here."

Her cheeks blushed scarlet and she bowed her head in embarrassment while Taehyung snickered, "I was just teasing you, Ji." She threw a soft punch towards him and headed towards his table where she spotted a familiar keychain seated in the middle, impossible to miss.

"You kept it." She stated as she picked up the bear keychain she had given him six years ago at their graduation. "I told you I'd cherish it." He said with a smile and she could feel her insides churning - never had she thought that her actions and words would mean so much to someone.

"I'm so sorry for not realizing your feelings, Tae." She said guiltily and Taehyung walked towards her as he placed a strand of hair behind her ears and lifted her chin gently, "Hey, don't feel guilty. It's no one's fault, okay? I've never regretted loving you then, and even now I still don't." He said and she could feel her heart throbbing lightly with happiness.

"Now let's celebrate Christmas properly, shall we?" Taehyung led her to the living room where Junghyun was waiting, and they finally started their Christmas dinner.

It was a simple celebration, but it was the happiest Christmas Jihyun had. How Taehyung had been taking care of Junghyun and feeding her with food before he even cared for himself, how wide Junghyun was smiling when they played board games together, how blissful it felt when the whole room chortled in laughter because of a funny joke. Everything was simple, but everything was perfect enough to forget about the unhappiness in her life - at least for a night.
