/Trigger Warning- Death, Emotional Angst\
/Past Time- 1987, April 1st\
/No Pov\Today really wasn't a good day for the remaining members of the Afton Family. For one, it was raining, making the mood even duller than it already was. On top of that, the pizza that had been made earlier ended up on the floor and they had just received some news that really wasn't a good thing for them.
You see, the news was regarding their plans to shut down the Pizzaria that their father had made. The only problem was that they would have to check on everything before the closing date, which was in two days. In two days it would be April 3rd, a day before Easter, which was a Friday, which meant that they had school before they could check it out. On top of that, the siblings really weren't intuned in doing that on a day that had only ever caused them pain. Sadly, at hearing this news, the pizza that had been made earlier had to suffer getting thrown to the floor in frustration.
/Time Skip- 1987, April 3rd\
/Pov Change- Elizabeth Afton\It wasn't a good idea. I know that and I'm pretty sure my siblings should too. Yes, today is going to be really hard on us but really? Skipping school? It's not like I haven't skipped school before though and I'm 16 so, this is something that sixteen-year-olds do, right? Well, I guess it isn't my fault since Iris came up with the idea.
Me, Virgil, and Iris have really had a tough time for the last two days. On the 1st we got the news that we were going to have to be there before they close to check up on everything. The 2nd wasn't much better since this one kid named, Roman, tried to 'protect' his little sister when she was talking to us and we ended up getting in trouble. Now, today, on the 3rd of April, the day that Terrence died, the day that Chris started to get bullied, the day that the whole family became messed up.
Likewise that the day is starting to come to an end though. I mean, it's 5 pm right now. Virgil said that we should just go later since they close it later anyways. It's only me who's home right now. Iris went to grab some food for us and Virgil went on a walk to clear his mind. I'm hoping that we can just get in and get out of that place quickly. Maybe this can be the start of something new for us.
"Hey, Liz?" That's Iris.
"Yeah" I walked up to her wondering what was up. She had probably gotten to food.
"I got some food for us. Where's Virgil?" She asked setting down the food while grabbing some plates.
"Went for a walk" I responded.
"Ok" She said taking her food and leaving for her room.
I grabbed my food and made my way to the couch. Might as well wait for Virgil. I thought to myself. As though on cue Virgil walked in. "Eli?" He asked softly taking a seat next to me.
I finished up on that last bit of food before responding. "Yeah?"
He looked kinda sad. "What time should we go?". Honestly, I have no clue how to answer that. I mean, we could go now but... I don't want to. I know that the sooner you do it the quicker you get in over with, but still...
Virgil must have noticed that I was struggling to answer since he got up and knocked on Iris's door. I couldn't hear what they were talking about so I just continued eating. It wasn't long till they both came back in and we all ended up eating in silence. It wasn't new for us to be doing, yet it seemed odd. I guess that Virgil and Iris noticed it too since Iris ended up breaking the silence.
