That Night: \\Chapter Twenty-Four//

Chapter 24 

I awakened searching around the room. A small yawn escaped my mouth. There was a knock. "Come in."I croaked. 

Daniel walked in shutting the door behind him. "Jazz is so very sorry about everything, every since we came here. I hadn't been seeing a lot of you or Jazz. Maybe, we all should go to the beach today and just hang out." Daniel said. 

Narrowing my eyes towards Daniel. I shrugged. "I guess. I can't possibly be angry at Jazz, it's not like Sebastian and I are-are,"Daniel nodded smiling. 

"Get dressed, were leaving pretty soon. Fix your hair you look like the grinch."Daniel chuckled. I lunged my pillow at Daniel. He left rapidly. 

After, I'd done my bathroom things, I headed downstairs. Everyone was sitting around the living room. "What's going on... Cole?"I asked not meeting Sebastians eyes. 

"Dean didnt come back home last night, Sebastian told us all what happened, and.. were trying to figure this out. There's something missing. A person."Cole said starring at the ground plan they had laid out. 

Averting my eyes, meeting Sebastians eyes. He looked away fiercely. "Where are you going Trinity?"Lucian asked. 

Turning my head facing Lucian. "The beach with Daniel and Jazz." I said boredly. 


Flynn clenched his jaw, "Forgot to mention Jazz hasn't came back from last night either. We have no idea where she went. Maybe, she's with Dean." My heart accelerated, Jazz isn't as weak as me and she also isn't as strong as Sebastian. But, she could fight off whoever got in her way. 

No need to worry Trinity. "What if?"I mumbled quietly, making eye contact with Sebastian. Sebastian rushed to my side grabing my arm, catching me from nearly falling over. The room started spinning, everyone surrounded me. 

Sebastian kept a firm grip on my arm. His free arm wrapped around my waist. He growled dangerously. "You're hot." Sebastian said. "You're running a fever."He added quickly. 

Noah dashed to Sebastian's side he whispered something. "Is she?" Noah asked. Sebastian nodded and walked me over to the couch. The throbbing pain, signaled I had a headache. 

Xavier handed me some Ibuprofen and a glass of water. I reached my arms out slowly and smiled softly receiving the drugs and water. Taking a gulp of the water, and then two pills. 

Later on, I was still laying in the position I was hours ago. "We can never be together, theres just too much secrets in our relationship. " 

Lucian sighed loudly."She's your mate, Sebastian. Your wolf cannot deny her." Lucian shouted. 

"My wolf can't deny her, but I can reject her. Simple, she's going to want to know what happened that night. I can't dare tell her, she'd hate me endlessly."Sebastian said. 

"That night changed everything Sebastian. That night, you found your mate, she's your mate. Your wolf hates lying to her, your the one making it harder on yourself. "I started walking into the kitchen.  "Maybe, this could lead us to Kimberly. You have to tell her Sebastian." 

Sebastian and Lucian were both quiet when I walked in. Opening, the fridge I grabbed some orange juice to get rid of the dryness in my itchy throat. Opening a cabinet, reaching up to get a cup. Noticing, I can't reach it. 

Sebastian appeared behind me, grabbed a cup and placed it on the counter. Those familiar sparks bloomed around me. "Thanks,"I mumbled pouring me a glass after he'd moved from behind me. 

As I turned, Lucian had already left the kitchen silently. Sebastian stared at me bodly. Finishing off the orange juice. I placed the cup into the sink. "you never answered  my question." Sebastian said. 

Of course, I trusted him, I trusted him with my life. "I-I,"Sebastian sighed. The words wasn't forming correctly. Sebastian nodded. 

Eagerly, I strolled out the kitchen before freezing when Sebastian started talking. "All werewolves have mates. They can bite and scratch each other while fighting and/or during sex without it meaning anything. " He said pausing. 


"But if a werewolf ‘marks’ the person they’re with- bites between the shoulder and neck- that marks them as a mate."He walked over towards me.


"Once a werewolf has a mate they cannot reproduce with anyone but their mate and sex with anyone else isn’t satisfying at all."He caressed my cheeks, after moving the stray piece of hair from my face. "Think about it." He said walking out the kitchen. 

Standing there completely speechless, what in the world was he talking about? Mate, whatever. "Okay."I mumbled. Guiding myself out the kitchen, I stumbled into the living room quietly. Lucian and Sebastian talked softly. 

"First step, so far so good. Get her to admit she trusses you. Understood? Second step. I don't know how or what to do. I'm not doctor Phil."Lucian chuckled softly. 

The front door creaked opened and in walked Samantha and Flynn. I smiled and hugged Flynn as he held his hands out for a hug. "Hey buttercup, what you been up too. Feeling better?" Flynn said grinning.  

I hugged him back tightly, his smell was memorizing. "Perfectly fine, I think." Narrowing my eyes over my should to Sebastian. He turned his head facing t.v. 

"You look like your in good condition dear," She placed her palm on my forehead. "Yep, fevers gone." She smiled walking into the house. 

"Moms home."Cole shouted dashing down the steps. Cole nearly knocked Xavier over. He hugged Samantha tightly. "Mommy, I missed you." she kissed his forehead giggling. 


Xavier smiled and walked over to me. He whispered softly into my ear. "Wanna go out for ice cream tonight? My friends are coming along."Biting my lip casually, I nodded. 

"sure, as long as Daniel gets to go."I poked Xavier's abs and smiled. "Is that okay?" Xavier looked ashamed. 

He looked at his shoe rapidly, before nodding. "It's fine."He said rolling his eyes. Ignoring, that I felt eyes on me, Sebastian, a cocky grin spread across his face. 

"Boo!"Someone screamed from behind me. Nearly, jumping into Xaviers arms. I screamed louder that people in china could've heard. Turning around, Trey annoying brown, of course. "Hey Trinity." 

Growling quietly, why am I picking up Sebastian habits? "Don't do that, ever."I wined and stomped off annoyed. Trey always found the most annoying ways to piss me off. Stomping up the stairs, in need of Daniel. 

Daniel stopped me. "You look mad. Are you okay?"Daniel said his eyebrows raised. 

"I'm fine, do you want to go to the ice cream parlor with Xavier and I. Some of his friends are going."Daniel shook his head no. 

Crossing my arms, I smirked. "Too bad, already invited you."Pushing past him and into Kimberly 's room. Shutting the door, the familiar camera sat at the edge of the bed. Sighing, I flickered through everything. Everything erased. 

Tossing the camera to the side, finding something decent out of my shopping bag. Dark black sweats and a white tank top. With my black converse. Lifting my shirt over my head, the door swung opened as I threw the shirt on the ground. 

Turning to face the door, Cole smirked. Covering my body, my mouth dropped. "Was I interrupting something. "Cole asked cockily. I stared at him blankly. 

"Cole, get out, this is why you knock. "I shouted surprisingly. Cole threw his hands up in surrender position. 

"Xavier said he's ready, grump."Cole said shutting my door. "Everybody's Trinity's changing walk in if you'd like."Cole peeked back in as I reached for my shirt. 

Covering my body again."Cole please."He winked and shut the door slowly. Running to the door, locking it. Grabbing my shirt fiercely, putting it on. I walked over to the mirror my face was as red as a tomato. 

Ugh. 


We all sat down with our ice cream. Xavier smiled at his friend, Scarlett again. I looked at him confused. "Don't worry." He said his smile fading. 

Daniel talked to Ashley, pretending, he wasn't having a good time. "So your the oh so famous Trinity."Zach said. 

Nodding, and I threw a smile in Xavier way. He was lost in Scarlett's, beautiful light green eyes,  and her beautiful long brown hair. She had two dimples, and perfect white teeth. " Xavier talked alot about you. " 

Talked? "oh."Xavier was indeed happy with Scarlett which made me happy. But, something inside me wanted to throw her off a cliff, if she was too stupid to realize Xavier was head over heels for her. 

But, maybe Sebastian wanted to throw me off a cliff for not realizing how head over heels I am for him, and denying it. "Trinity?"Daniel shouted. Everyone laughed. I hadn't realized I was starring dreamily at Xavier. 

"Someone has a crush on Xavier,"his friend said. "Xavier she's a keeper."He added. Shaking my head no, I blushed. Xavier winked in my direction. 

Xavier grinned."Trinity and I are just friends unless she decides to be more than friends.."he smirked sheepishly. "But we all know she won't get over Sebastian."His smirk left. 

Licking the rest of my ice cream I starred at Xavier. "That's not funny,"Everyone exploded in laughter."What?" I whispered. 

"Trinity, your kinda starring at Xavier while you lick your ice cream. She wants the d."Ashley shouted. Embarrassed, I licked faster until I realized. 

I dropped my ice cream cone on the ground. My mouth forming into a o shape. "oh." I mumbled. "I-I."

"Excuse my friends cutie,"Zach said. "But, did you know your beautiful, and your eyes shine brighter in the sunlight-"Xavier held his hand out. 

"Stop,"He growled starring into Zach's eyes. "Sebastian can smell, hear anything when it comes to Trinity...." there was a long minute of silence. "You guys ready?"Daniel nudged me confused. I shrugged pretending, I didn't understand neither. We all nodded standing up. 

The wind suddenly got stronger, nearly knocking me off my feet. Xavier wrapped his arm around me carefully. I smiled. Scarlett smiled softly looking down. I shoved Xavier gently. "Thanks but, Scarlett looks alittle cold." I shivered. 

Xavier looked from Scarlett to me. "But, your'e colder."He said taking his jacket off. He wrapped it around me. Scarlett stared at us and I mouthed sorry. She nodded. 

The car ride was amusing other than Zach's continuos flirting, Daniel nudging me repeatedly not understanding what there talking about. The ride was pretty fun. We all danced and sang to the music, we all made jokes. Well, most of them were about Xavier and I. Xavier dropped all his friends off except Scarlett. 

"Today was fun don't you think Trinity?"Xavier asked me looking in the mirror for the 100th time at me. 

"I don't know ask Scarlett."I mumbled. Staring back at him.

"Huh?" He asked focusing on the road. 

"Perfect Xavier, just darn right perfect." Xavier smiled sweetly and turned to Scarlett. She looked upset. 

"What's wrong scar?" He asked her she shrugged fidgeting with her hands. "Look at me and tell me nothing is wrong. "

Scarlett pointed ahead."Watch the road Xavier."She shouted. Xavier swerved around nearly hitting a deer. "Xavier you can be so stupid sometimes."Scarlett said. 

I slid to the side, holding my heart, minutes later we were at home. When we got in Sebastian was on the couch talking with his friends. "You could've killed us."Daniel said. 

"I'm sorry, I'm trying to make sure Scarlett was okay. And I'm sorry for almost killing you all." Xavier shouted. Sebastian's head turned.

"My life flashed before my eyes. Did you see how fast we were going? Trinity, was scared half to death. And then you had the audacity too let Zach or whatever flirt with Trinity non stop-"Daniel shouted angry. Xavier clenched his jaw. 

"I stopped him multiple times-"Xavier started up before Daniel jumped back into it. 

"One time doesn't count; Zach said she was beautiful blah blah. Then,-"Daniel said before Xavier started laughing. 

Xavier chuckled. "You have a crush on Trinity too. Wow, Trinity so many guys are fascinated by you. It's ridiculous, let's see there's Daniel, Sebastian, Cole, and me."His eyes widened. Sebastian hoped up. 

Sebastian appeared behind me mysteriously, Xavier started laughing again. "Oh look at Sebastian, Mr. Protective huh? Everything that involves trinity involves you right?" 

"Xavier stop-"I mumbled, looking up from under my eye lashes. 

"Or what? Is Sebastian going to kill me Trinity? Look at him. He's changed. Remember Sebastian you were just a quiet little punk and Trinity appears and bam there goes the side that has left 4 years ago and now its back."

"Xavier, stop okay."Scarlett said grabbing his hand for comfort. Xavier growled at Daniel and turning back to Sebastian waiting for a reply. 

I pulled Sebastian's arms around my waist gently, calming him down. I placed my hands over his. "Just stop right there Xavier." Sebastian said surprisingly calm.
