Part 3

My mother's left me on my own, even though they really didn't want too. They were both scared from what they heard, but they had their jobs to worry about. I promised I would text very frequently so they would know what was going on. I understand how both of them feel, I'm just better at hiding it.

"Okay we just finished setting up the tv and such, is there anything else you need before I leave you be?" There is a person in my room. I have no idea how long they have been in my room for, but they are looking at me like this is their 5th time saying something. They even looked like they were about to page a doctor.

"Sorry, yes this is great thank you," they kept staring at me, "I'm fine, I just get lost in thought sometimes, you don't need to worry."

They finally left, and I was able to think about everything that happened.

What happened to that boy? What did the doctors tell his parents? Did I end up taking all 3 also? Find out next time on  5 hours of boredom with Jade.

I make myself laugh, what would I do without myself.

I bring myself down a rabbit hole while staring at the while wall. I wish I could say this doesn't happen a lot, but it does. I stress myself out by just thinking, then forgetting. When I "zone out", most of the time I loose sense of all my other senses, and then get back into the "zone" when my name is called or something interrupts my train of thought or even just of my own after a period of time.

I suddenly come back to my senses and realize I've been sitting doing nothing for around 15 minutes, but I needed it. I thought about everything that had happened and what that meant for me and what that meant for that boy. I don't even know what to do next.

I decided I should just get up and go wash my face in the bathroom. It might help me think better. So that's exactly what I did.

The water was cool and it helped me. It also helped get rid of acne. I stared at myself in the mirror. I looked at my skin with the freckles along my nose and cheeks. Then I looked at my dirty blonde hair. My light skin with my dark emerald green eyes. It was funny. The contrast  sort of made me pretty.

I left the bathroom feeling more refreshed and I walked to my room, I am about to enter until I get a thought telling me to go see or talk to the person next door that Isabel and the doctor were talking about. I decided to walk over and knock but ended up chickening out.

What would I have said?

I obviously didn't think this far ahead so I end up walking back to my room. It's been some time so I might as well text my mom's too.

~

Time passes and I was getting really into my tv show when I hear a knock on my door. I pause my show then wait for a second before saying, "Come in!"

I thought a doctor was going to come in and check on my but it was a girl. She almost looked my age too! She had light brown hair with light blue eyes that complimented her smooth, light skin. She was beautiful to say the least and honestly I was baffled about what she was in my room. Could she have mistaken the room? She even looked a bit like she was running or hiding from someone.

"Um, hi? I think you have the wrong room," I blustered out. What else are you supposed to say when someone just walks in your room unannounced?

"Oh good, I though I went to the wrong room. My name is Jenavieve, but you can really call me anything," the girl, now Jenavieve said.

"Well hi there Jenavieve, welcome to my room, please make yourself at home," I realize a little bit of my sarcasm came out, but it got my point across, hopefully...

"Oh yes! I saw u about to go into my room, I came back from talking to a doctor, then well, saw you! But you didn't end up going in but hey, well, here I am, the suspension is killing me! What did you want!?" Jenavieve was everywhere, it was hard to follow along with what she was saying  and by the time she was done talking she seemed out of breath, she was fun though, I am trying to hold back a smile because, well, stranger danger-ish.

"Um, well," I wasn't given enough time to think before I could answer. I have no idea what is even happening. "Well, I was um," I stopped talking and took a deep breath. "Hello, my name is Jade, I'm a junior in high school and I am here to get the vaccine for Phem-XX. I heard from somewhere that the person in the room next to me took- well, something happened to them and I wanted to check on them, but stopped myself becauseI didn't think it through far enough." Before I knew it my entire life story was out in the air but Jenavieve just smiled at me.

"Hey there Jade, it's grand to me you! I am Jenavieve and a sophomore in high school, and am doing great! You must be thinking of someone else because nothing is wrong with me, the doctors checked me out and told me I was a-okay!" Jenavieve calmed down a lot, I think she read the room and realized I got a bit overwhelmed. She made sense though, even though Isabel and the doctor came out of that room, they were talking about a boy.

"Oh okay, sorry then, I didn't mean to trouble you or anything, I must've mistook you for someone else or something."

"No no, you're totally good! I did just move rooms though if that helps anything. I was in a room that was used for something other than getting vaccines or what not, but I got the vaccine of Ense-XX in there. I think there was some sort of emergency so they kicked us out and moved us into the room next to you!!" Jenavieve was sincere. But she still said everything with a smile on her face, I guess that boy is getting help to, that is good to hear. "Aaaaanyway, nice to meet you!! Oooooo what are you watching?"

I finally smiled, "It's nice to meet you too, I'm not watching anything really, well, it does get pretty boring here with the 5 hours under supervision."

"It does, if your not watching anything, want to watch a movie with me? My parents left, so I'm alone and it looks like you are too, and like you said it's gets boring," she looked like a golden retriever wagging her tail waiting for an answer, who can say no to that? I'm not all against in anyway, I mean, it can be fun.

Me and Jenavieve hung out for the rest of the time, watching movies, playing games, and just talking. Of course the doctors checked up on us even more frequently than usual, but it was fun. I found out that Jenavieve goes to a school close to mine and loves singing and dancing and cooking and baking. She is really the full package, everyone's best friend. Friendly, extraverted, energetic, up for anything, and even someone that gives great advice. I look and act like a devil next to her, but that's alright. Not everyone can be a angel.

Mama came to pick me up and we went home to eat dinner, I felt fine, great even! It was the normal routine from when I got the vaccine and on. I was even a little excited to go to school tomorrow, I mean learning about cells is the most interesting thing that has happened in my life in a while. Even that boy I sit next to, I think his name was Tommy or something. But I even went to sleep fast and dreamed of nothing. I didn't think a vaccine side effect could be good karma!
