It's Tuesday. Tuesday. Jade reminds herself, stepping into the bright building, she can almost hear  the colors. Three more days and then she gets two days to rest.

Just three more days.

Sikowitz assigns a group project, and thank god he ends up not making them pick from the stupid hat again.

At lunch Jade can't stop staring. Her cheekbones. Her slim fingers. The way she covers her mouth when she eats as though they can see right into her mouth. And, oh, her eyes are Brown.

Jade purposefully doesn't eat anything, she ate too much yesterday and still feels a bit nauseated. Beck unconsciously pulls her closer to him when he notices her drifting into her thoughts, she wants to wriggle out of his touch.

She tries to ignore the sudden wave of nausea washing over her, gripping onto the table in front of her, the world spins in white flashes for a few seconds before it finally stops and she almost falls forwards.

She tries to ignore Toris concerned glance from the corner of her eyes, watching Jade press her temples and squeeze her eyes shut.

She tries to ignore Becks clammy hands, wrapped around her waist and pulling her even closer. Pushing against her aching stomach and squeezing her lungs, or so it seems.

She tries to ignore some stupid remark Robbie makes with that waste of plastic sitting across from her, she makes a move to go throw it in the trash, before being yanked back down by her boyfriend.

Her legs feel numb, and before she realizes it she's pushing herself out of his grasp and into the parking lot to find her car. Upon realizing she doesn't drive to school, she walks.

She ends up on some road she's never heard the name of and decides to sit down near the trees, pressing her back against one.

She's not really aware of the fact that she probably looks homeless right now.

Once her head stops pounding, she pulls out her phone and turns on the GPS, putting in her location and following the little arrows.

The loud honk of a truck indicates that she was almost hit, fuck, she didn't even notice it.

When she finally makes it home, it's almost dark and she's already locked herself in her room and flopped down on the bed.

She's painfully aware of how cold she is but she can't seem to bring herself to cover up.

She pulls her phone out from underneath her when she hears a ding, and quickly sits up, earning a groan from her mouth.

It was Beck. They had the stupid project thing with Andre and Tori. Robbie and Cat had to work alone because Jade doesn't like Robbie/Rex in the slightest and Cat is more hair dye than brain cells.

They're hardly twenty minutes into the video chat, with Beck eating a bowl of mashed potatoes big enough to feed a family, Andre barely paying attention and playing with the dumb filters on the screen, and Tori using a big whiteboard with markers and magnets like a dork. When there's the sound of screaming coming from downstairs, her dad is back, uninvited. There's a crash and Jade can barely mumble a "Shit, I got to go." Before she closes her laptop and unlocks the three locks on her door.

"That's my cue." Beck says, standing up and grabbing his keys. Next thing they know his box disappears completely and its just a big picture of Andre, and a big picture of Tori. Tori feels a slight pang of jealousy because she wants to be the one to check on Jade, some sick part of her wants to be the hero.

"Do you wanna come to my house and eat chilli or something?" Tori asks, half joking.

Andre barely considers it before a "I'm comin' tumbles out of his mouth and the video chat ends.

Beck shows up at Toris, with Jade clinging to his side, at about 2am after Tori and Andre devoured about three bowls of chilli and were now sitting on the couch, laughing at stupid scary movies and complaining about their bloated bellies.

There's an uncomfortable silence as they sit down, Jade has her head resting on Beck's stomach, and Beck's way too meaty hands are playing with her hair.

She wants to puke, she wants to scoot over next to Tori and lay her head in her lap and laugh at stupid idiots in stupid horror movies and she desperately wants the hand in her hair to belong to Tori.

Little does she know, Tori's side eye is burning into them, when Beck's puppy dog eyes find Jades and he kisses the top of her head, when Jade turns to face the back side of the couch and nestles back towards Beck. Because god, she wishes it were her.
