Chapter 10: The End of Vacations Suck but Turn Out to be Good Somtimes

Kelly’s POV

I woke up a little cold. I snuggled my way back into Vic’s arms. He chuckled. “Stop laughing and hold your cold girlfriend.” I said. He gladly obliged. I kissed him and he kissed back. “I’m hungry.” I whined. He laughed. “Well look no further your amazing best friend made breakfast for everyone.” Jaime said bouncing in the room. I laughed and got up. Vic followed behind me and sat next to me. “Yay you made oatmeal with strawberries and blueberries.” I said. “Yes I did. Just for you.” He said. “Thank you Jaime.” I said hugging him. He hugged me back and sat down next to tony and began to eat. Kellin and Katelynne finally came out of their bedroom. “Today I want to go sledding and build a snowman since it’s our last day here.” I said. “I agree.” Mike and Tony said at the same time. We all laughed and agreed. We all took our showers and got ready. Kellin threw me on his back and ran up the big hill. We sat together on the sled and sledded down the hill. Katelynne took pictures of us and our wipe out. I threw snow at his face as he chased me back up the hill. I hid behind Mike and fell down the back side of the hill. I started laughing. “Having fun?” Kellin yelled down. “Yes, I am.” I yelled back. I got back up and headed back up the hill. I tackled Vic to the ground and kissed his cheek. He rolled over and kissed me. I rolled down the hill while holding Vic close. I sat up and we looked into each other’s eyes. Katelynne took a picture of us like that. I blushed and she took a picture of me. I stole her camera and took pictures of her and Kellin. I gave her back her camera and flopped down in the snow. I made some snow angels and then stood up. “Do we have to go back?” I asked. “Yes sadly.” He said. I kissed his cheek and headed back up to the top of the hill. We rode a sled down together. Eventually Mike, Tony and I got into a snowball fight. We ended up lying on the ground laughing our asses off. I started making a huge snowman and Katelynne helped me. We finished him up and he looked amazing. We managed to find rocks for buttons and eyes, twigs for his arms, and a carrot for his nose. Kellin took a picture of me and Kelly with our creation. Me and Vic rolled around in the snow a bit more while everyone headed back to the house. “I love you.” I said kissing him. “I love you too.” He said kissing me back. I smiled. We walked to a nearby café and got some hot coco. We walked back to the house with our hot coco. I walked in to find Mike on the ground bleeding and Tony and Jaime unconscious. Vic reached for his phone and called for ambulances. I ran upstairs and saw Katelynne lying on the ground bleeding from her leg. She moved her eyes towards the bathroom. I heard Kellin arguing with a guy. I went into my mom’s room and grabbed the gun from underneath her bed. I looked into the bathroom and saw Damon pointing a gun at Kellin. I aimed for Damon’s penis and shot him. I hit it dead on. I then aimed for his hand and hit it. He dropped the gun. Kellin picked it up and shot him in the chest. He placed the gun down and checked for Damon’s pulse. “He’s dead.” He said. “Good.” I said. I ran over to Katelynne and helped her. She was taken to the hospital first then everyone else got driven. Katelynne was more important because she was pregnant. She was perfectly fine according to the doctors. She just couldn’t do any work. Mike was all patched up and alright. Tony and Jaime were fine. They all headed home and I went to Damon’s mom’s house. No one was home. I heard crying. I picked the lock on the door and headed inside. I saw my beautiful five year old daughter crying tied to a chair and duck tape over her mouth. I picked her up and sang to her. She calmed down. “M M Mom Mommy.” She said. “Yes, baby everything will be alright.” I said. “Why did you abandon me?” she asked. “I didn’t abandon you. I gave you up for adoption so you could have a better life and get everything you wanted.” I said. “Mommy, I love you.” She said. “I love you too, Riley.” I said hugging her tightly. “You are going to come live with me and my boyfriend Vic. Okay sweetie.” I said. She nodded. I grabbed her things and headed back to my house. When we got there, everyone stared at us. “Riley, this is Uncle Kellin and Aunty Katelynne.” I said. She smiled and waved. “This is Vic. I love him very much and he will love you more than daddy ever could.” I said. She smiled and walked over to him. He picked her up and hugged her. “I have listened to your band.” She said. “A five year old as cool as you has heard of me.” He said. “Ya and I’ve listened to Uncle Kellin’s band too.” She said smiling. “Hey, I didn’t give her away to any boring couple. I gave her to one that appreciated our type of music.” I said. He smiled at me. “Uncle Kellin.” She said. “Ya, Riley.” He said smiling at her. “Will you sing All My Heart?” she asked. “Anything for you.” He said picking up the guitar. He started strumming and began to sing. Riley smiled and sang along with him. I couldn’t help but smile at her cuteness. I wonder if she would have her cancer if I chose to keep her. By the end of the song Riley was asleep. “When we get back to L.A., I am doing everything in my power to make her well again. She is not dying.” I said. The guys nodded. I picked up Riley and walked upstairs and cuddled up with her in bed. I fell asleep soon with her.

Vic’s POV

I headed upstairs and got Kelly and Riley at eight at night. We were flying back home to L.A., I called Riley’s adoptive parents and they didn’t mind that Kelly wanted to keep Riley. We got on the plane and Riley fell back asleep. I held her hand and Kelly’s. I kissed Kelly’s cheek and we took off. Everyone was asleep but me and Kelly. “Vic, if I can get her well again can she stay with us?” Kelly asked. “Of course she can. I know I just met her but I love her already.” I said. She smiled and kissed me. “By the way I know you wrote some of your old songs about us.” She said. I blushed and kissed her. “You were my inspiration.” I said. She blushed. “Thank you.” She said. “Now get some sleep honey.” I said. She nodded and rested her head on my shoulder. She fell asleep. Soon enough we were landing and they woke up. We dropped everyone off at home and headed home to my house. Kelly decided to live with me and my family now. Riley was all wide awake now. My mom saw Riley and looked at me. I nodded no. Kelly and Riley went upstairs and I explained riley to my mom. My mom understood and was happy to have a little girl in the house. I was happy to feel like I have a responsibility now to be a father. I headed upstairs and within the next two hours Riley, Kelly and I had fallen asleep.
